Abstract

An antitheft device for a vehicle includes a controller. The vehicle has a security mechanism, a warning device, a first opening/closing object, a second opening/closing object, and a portable unit. The portable unit transmits a signal to perform a security set of the security mechanism when the portable unit is operated. The controller is configured to cause the warning device at a predetermined time to warn the user that the security set is unable to be performed, if the portable unit is operated while the first opening/closing object and the second opening/closing object are opened.

Claims

1. An antitheft device for a vehicle, wherein the vehicle has a security mechanism, a warning device, a first opening/closing object, a second opening/closing object, and a portable unit, wherein the first opening/closing object allows a user of the vehicle to enter into an occupant compartment through the first opening/closing object from an exterior of the vehicle, wherein the second opening/closing object is restricted from allowing the user to enter into the occupant compartment through the second opening/closing object, wherein the portable unit transmits a signal to perform a security set of the security mechanism when the portable unit is operated, the antitheft device comprising:

a controller configured to cause the warning device at a predetermined time to warn the user that the security set is unable to be performed, if the portable unit is operated while the first opening/closing object and the second opening/closing object are opened.

2. The antitheft device according to claim 1, wherein the predetermined time is a time when the first opening/closing object is closed.

3. The antitheft device according to claim 1, wherein:

the predetermined time is a time when the portable unit is operated.

4. The antitheft device according to claim 1, wherein the predetermined time is a time when the second opening/closing object becomes closed in a state, where the first opening/closing object is closed.

5. The antitheft device according to claim 1, wherein the first object is a backdoor.

6. The antitheft device according to claim 1, wherein the first object is a slide door.

7. The antitheft device according to claim 1, wherein the first object is a swing door.

8. An antitheft device for a vehicle, wherein the vehicle has a security mechanism, a first opening/closing object, and a portable unit, wherein the first opening/closing object allows a user of the vehicle to enter into an occupant compartment through the first opening/closing object from exterior of the vehicle, wherein the portable unit transmits a signal to perform a security set of the security mechanism when the portable unit is operated, the antitheft device comprising:

a memory configured to store the security set operation of the security mechanism when the portable unit is operated while the first opening/closing object is opened; and

a controller configured to shift a state of the vehicle into a certain state at a time when the first opening/closing object becomes closed, wherein the security set of the security mechanism is able to be performed in the certain state based on the security set operation stored in the memory.

9. The antitheft device according to claim 8, wherein the first object is a backdoor.

10. The antitheft device according to claim 8, wherein the first object is a slide door.

11. The antitheft device according to claim 8, wherein the first object is a swing door.
