Abstract

In the source of the page “A Company—the Page for Selling CDS”, the number of characters of the bookmark title information is limited to 21 characters. Thus, even if the size of the bookmark display area AR2 is not large, the client terminal 2 can display all of the bookmark title information “A Company'"'"'s CD Sales Page” on the bookmark display area AR2, since this bookmark title information, an abbreviation of the page title information “A Company—the Page for Selling CDs”, consists of 21 characters.

Claims

1. A page title display method comprising:

a first step of transmitting a request signal to request external page data;

a second step of receiving said page data corresponding to said request signal;

a third step of storing first title information, second title information in which the number of characters is limited, and address information of said page data when an operation to store said address information is performed, said page data including said address information, said first title information, and said second title information; and

a fourth step of displaying said stored second title information on a display section.

2. The page title display method according to claim 1, wherein the number of characters of said second title information corresponds to a size of a screen of said display section.

3. The page title display method according to claim 1, wherein said third step prohibits said address information from being stored in response to flag information included in said page data.

4. The page title display method according to claim 1 wherein

said third step further stores service identification information identifying a service corresponding to said page data, said service identification information being included in said page data along with said address information,

said page title display method further comprising:

a fifth step of transmitting a request signal to request said page data based on said stored address information;

a sixth step of transmitting said service identification information stored by said third step to prescribed apparatus when receiving prescribed information in response to said request signal transmitted by said fifth step;

a seventh step of receiving additional information corresponding to said service identification information from said prescribed apparatus, and displaying said additional information on said display section; and

a eighth step of transmitting, after said seventh step, a request signal to re-request said page data based on said address information, and receiving said page data corresponding to said request signal.

5. A terminal apparatus comprising:

first request signal transmission means for transmitting a request signal to request external page data;

first page data reception means for receiving said page data corresponding to said request signal;

storage means for storing first title information, second title information in which the number of characters is limited, and address information of said page data when an operation to store said address information is performed, said page data including said address information, said first title information, and said second title information; and

display means for displaying said stored second title information.

6. The terminal apparatus according to claim 5, wherein the number of characters of said second title information corresponds to a size of a screen of said display means.

7. The terminal apparatus according to claim 5, wherein said storage means does not store said address information in response to flag information included in said page data.

8. The terminal apparatus according to claim 5 wherein

said storage means further stores service identification information identifying a service corresponding to said page data, said service identification information being included in said page data along with said address information,

said terminal apparatus further comprising:

second request signal transmission means for transmitting a request signal to request said page data based on said stored address information;

service identification information transmission means for transmitting said stored service identification information to prescribed apparatus when receiving prescribed information in response to said request signal transmitted by said second request signal transmission means;

additional information reception means for receiving additional information corresponding to said service identification information from said prescribed apparatus; and

second page data reception means for transmitting, after said display means displays said received additional information, a request signal to re-request said page data based on said address information, and receiving said page data corresponding to said request signal.

9. A page data transmission method comprising:

a first step of receiving from external apparatus a request signal requesting page data;

a second step of transmitting, in response to said received request signal, to said external apparatus said page data including first title information and second title information in which the number of characters is limited.

10. The page data transmission method according to claim 9, wherein the number of characters of said second title information corresponds to a size of a display section of said external apparatus that displays said second title information based on said page data.

11. A page data transmission apparatus comprising:

request signal reception means for receiving from external apparatus a request signal requesting page data;

page data transmission means for transmitting, in response to said received request signal, to said external apparatus said page data including first title information and second title information in which the number of characters is limited.

12. The page data transmission apparatus according to claim 11, wherein the number of characters of said second title information corresponds to a size of a display section of said external apparatus that displays said second title information based on said page data.
