Voip Device Test System and Test Method
First Claim
1. A test system for performing, in a batch, an operation test of a plurality of VoIP devices as devices under test capable of converting voice signals into packet data and transmitting and receiving the packet data for making telephone conversations through an IP network, said test system comprising:
- a fixed address input unit used to input fixed address information which is uniquely given to the respective devices under test and physically fixed;
a DHCP unit operable to assign a dynamic address which is unique and dynamic to each fixed address input through said fixed address input unit;
a test device to which said dynamic address and a telephone number are fixedly assigned;
a call agent unit operable to register said dynamic address and the telephone number assigned to each of the respective devices under test and test device in association with each other; and
a plurality of telephone equipments connected to said devices under test and said test device respectively and capable of making telephone conversations from one to another through said call agent,wherein an arbitrary two equipments are paired from among the plurality of the telephone equipments connected to the devices under test respectively, andwherein a call is attempted from a first telephone equipment connected to one device under test of each pair to a second telephone equipment connected to another device under test of the pair, and if a telephone conversation is established, a call is attempted from said second telephone equipment which is called to said first telephone equipment, but if a telephone conversation is not established, a call is attempted to the telephone equipment connected to said test device.

Abstract
An MAC address of each of devices under testing is entered. An IP address is assigned to each entered MAC address. The IP addresses and telephone numbers assigned to the devices and a failure test terminal are associated with one another and registered in a system server. Out of telephones connected to the devices, sets of two telephones are determined. For each set, a call is made from a first telephone connected to the device to a second telephone connected to another device. When the communication is established, a call is made from the called second telephone to the first telephone. If the communication is not established, communication with a telephone connected to the failure test terminal is tried. Thereby, adequate test on a large number of devices with simple operation is possible in performing an operation test on a VoIP device.
