Abstract

A game device such as a sporting good or video game device uses an integrated circuit (IC) that includes a gyrating circuit to measure at least one motion parameter of the device. An RF transmitter wirelessly transmits the at least one motion parameter to a remote device.

Claims

1. A video game device comprising:

an input module coupled to receive user inputs; and

an integrated circuit (IC) that includes;

a gyrating circuit to measure at least one motion parameter of the video game device; and

an RF transmitter to wirelessly transmit the at least one motion parameter to a remote device.

2. The video game device of claim 1 wherein the IC further includes:

a processing module to process the user inputs to produce input data;

3. The video game device of claim 2 wherein the RF transmitter wirelessly transmits the input data to the remote device.

4. The video game device of claim 2 wherein the processing module generates the input data in relation to the at least one motion parameter to generate a game response and the RF transmitter wirelessly transmits the game response to the remote device.

5. The video game device of claim 2 further comprising:

an actuator, coupled to the RF that generates force feedback to the video game device in response to an actuation signal; and

and wherein the IC further comprises an RF receiver that wirelessly receives the actuator signal from the remote device.

6. The video game device of claim 5 wherein the actuator signal is coordinated with motion of the video game device to simulate a game response to the motion.

7. A sporting good comprising:

an integrated circuit (IC) that includes;

a gyrating circuit to measure at least one motion parameter of the sporting good; and

an RF transmitter to wirelessly transmit the at least one motion parameter to a remote device.

8. The sporting good of claim 7 wherein the sporting good includes a ball and the at least one motion parameter includes a velocity of the ball.

9. The sporting good of claim 7 wherein the sporting good includes a ball and the at least one motion parameter includes a trajectory of the ball.

10. The sporting good of claim 7 wherein the sporting good includes a swinging member and the at least one motion parameter includes a velocity of the swinging member.

11. The sporting good of claim 7 wherein the sporting good includes a swinging member and the at least one motion parameter includes a trajectory of the swinging member.

12. The sporting good of claim 7 wherein the IC further includes an on-chip power source that is inductively charged.

13. The sporting good of claim 7 wherein the IC further includes an on-chip power source that is powered by motion of the sporting good.
