1. A sensor system, comprising:
- a sensor operable to measure a parameter in connection with a body part of a person and to wirelessly transmit the measured parameter; and
a master controller operable to wirelessly communicate with the sensor and to collect data of the measured parameter received from the sensor,wherein the master controller is operable to assign an communication period for communicating with the sensor and at least another communication period for communicating with at least another sensor operable to measure the parameter or a different parameter associated with the person, and wherein the master controller is operable to wirelessly communicate with the sensor and the other sensor to determine an operating status of each sensor and to terminate or activate wireless communication with a particular sensor based on the operating status of the particular sensor.

31. A method, comprising:

providing a master controller to wirelessly communicate with one or more sensors each of which is operable to sense a parameter of a person and wirelessly sends measured data to the master controller; configuring the master controller and each sensor to form a dynamically reconfigurable wireless network wherein each sensor is operable to automatically join and leave the network; configuring the master controller to supply a normal profile related to measurements from the one or more sensors; and operating the master controller to compare a real-time profile from received measurements from the one or more sensors to the normal profile to generate an alert signal when the real-time profile deviates from the normal profile. - View Dependent Claims (32, 33)
