1. A fast position fixing method for a Global Positioning System (GPS) navigator, comprising:
- receiving, at an assistant device, GPS data from GPS satellites in response to a GPS data reception command, and transmitting the GPS data to the navigator;
locating, at the navigator, the GPS satellites on the basis of the GPS data; and
receiving, at the navigator, current GPS data from the located GPS satellites, computing a current position of the navigator on the basis of the current GPS data, and outputting the current position of the navigator.
