Abstract

A mouse for an electronic device comprises a housing to receive component therein; a display attached on the housing for displaying, wherein the display includes image icon to perform pre-determined function; a user motion detecting device attached on the display for detection the motion of user finger; a controller received in the housing for generating a control signal in responsive to the user motion detection.

Claims

1. A mouse for an electronic device comprising:

a housing to receive component therein;

a user motion detecting device attached on said housing for detection the motion of user finger;

a controller received in said housing for generating a control signal in responsive to said user motion detection.

2. The mouse of claim 1, wherein said user motion detecting device includes CMOS sensor, CCD or touch sensor array.

3. The mouse of claim 1, wherein said user motion includes finger motion.

4. The mouse of claim 1, wherein said mouse includes a communication interface coupled to said controller.

5. The mouse of claim 4, wherein said communication interface includes USB, IEEE 1394, fire wire, IEEE 802.11, WiFi, IR, WiMAX, or blue-tooth.

6. The mouse of claim 1, further comprises a memory or memory card contained in said mouse.

7. The mouse of claim 1, further comprises a power supply coupled to said controller and it could be provide by wired, wireless, battery or solar energy.

8. The mouse of claim 1, wherein said power supply is provided by wired wireless, battery or solar energy.

9. The mouse of claim 1, wherein said mouse could be integrated into a keyboard, notebook, or mobile device.

10. A mouse for an electronic device comprising:

a housing to receive component therein;

a display attached on said housing for displaying, wherein said display includes image icon to perform pre-determined function;

a user motion detecting device attached on said display for detection the motion of user finger;

a controller received in said housing for generating a control signal in responsive to said user motion detection.

11. The mouse of claim 10, wherein said user motion detecting device includes touch sensor array.

12. The mouse of claim 10, wherein said user motion includes finger motion.

13. The mouse of claim 10, wherein said mouse includes a communication interface coupled to said controller.

14. The mouse of claim 13, wherein said communication interface includes USB, IEEE 1394, fire wire, IEEE 802.11, WiFi, IR, WiMAX, or blue-tooth.

15. The mouse of claim 10, further comprises a memory or memory card contained in said mouse.

16. The mouse of claim 10, further comprises a power supply coupled to said controller and it could be provide by wired, wireless, battery or solar energy.

17. The mouse of claim 16, wherein said power supply is provided by wired wireless, battery or solar energy.

18. The mouse of claim 10, wherein said display include LCD, FED, OLED, EL, electronic ink or electronic paper.

19. The mouse of claim 10, wherein said user motion detecting device is based on capacitive sensing, resistive sensing, surface acoustic wave sensing, or thermal sensing.

20. The mouse of claim 10, wherein said mouse could be integrated into a keyboard, notebook, or mobile device
