Abstract

An information storage medium including graphic data and presentation information, and an apparatus and method of processing the graphic data are provided. The information storage medium includes the graphic data, page composition information which defines page composition of the graphic data, and the presentation information indicating when graphic screen data, which is composed with reference to the page composition information of the graphic data, is output to a display screen. Therefore, a graphic object is reusable in graphic data processing, and accordingly, a time taken to process the graphic data is reducible and memory area may be saved.

Claims

1. A method of processing graphic data, the method comprising:

receiving graphic data;

receiving page composition information defining a page composition of the graphic data; and

outputting graphic screen data to a display screen according to presentation information indicating when the graphic screen data is to be output to the display screen, the graphic screen data being composed from the graphic data with reference to the page composition information.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the presentation information is from a page composition segment comprising the page composition information.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein:

the receiving of the graphic data comprises receiving a plurality of graphic data and a plurality of presentation time stamps respectively indicating when the plurality of graphic data are to be made available to be used in composing the graphic screen data; and

the method further comprises starting to compose the graphic screen data from at least some of the plurality of graphic data with reference to the page composition information at a time indicated by the presentation time stamp corresponding to a last received one of the plurality of graphic data.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein the graphic data is obtained from an object display segment comprising the graphic data and a presentation time stamp indicating a time when the graphic data is to be decoded and made available to be used in composing the graphic screen data.
