1. A system for reliving angina symptoms in a body, the system comprising:
- an implantable medical device includingan intravascular stent; and
a light emitting circuit incorporated into the intravascular stent, the light emitting circuit including;
a light source adapted to emit a light having characteristics suitable for reliving the angina symptoms;
a power supply circuit adapted to produce a power supply signal suitable for powering the light source; and
an implant control circuit coupled to the light source and the power source, the implant control circuit adapted to control the emission of the light from the light source during a light emission duration.
