Abstract

A display apparatus is provided. A frame is fixed and supported at the rear of a front panel forming the front portion of the display apparatus, and a separate bracket member is not mounted on the edges of the front panel. Thus, the front exterior of the display apparatus is neatly finished, and the display screen looks bigger than it actually is.

Claims

1. A display apparatus comprising:

a front panel defining a front portion thereof;

a plurality of frames fixed at a rear surface of the front panel, to support the front panel;

a display module fixed to the frames, to output an image; and

a rear housing receiving the display module and disposed at a rear of the front panel, to expose an edge of the front panel.

2. The display apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising brackets connecting each end of the plurality of frames,

wherein the bracket connects the display module to the frames in a state where the display module is predetermined distance apart from the frames.

3. The display apparatus according to claim 2, wherein the bracket comprises:

a boss on which an edge of the display module is mounted; and

a rib preventing movement of the display module.

4. The display apparatus according to claim 2, wherein the frame comprises a mounting portion protruding at a rear surface thereof, to which the bracket is mounted.

5. The display apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising an adhering member interposed between the frames and the front panel, the adhering member being one of a double-sided adhesive tape, an adhesive, and a screw.

6. The display apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a gasket of a conductive material interposed between the frames and the front panel, wherein the gasket, the frames, and the rear housing are electrically connected to block electromagnetic interference.

7. The display apparatus according to claim 1, further comprising a blocking member formed of an opaque film material and disposed around a portion of the rear surface of the front panel at which the frames are coupled, to block the frames from exposure.

8. The display apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the rear housing is fixed to the rear surface of the front panel through the fastening member, and the fastening member sequentially passes through the front panel and the rear housing.

9. The display apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the rear housing is fixed to the frame through the fastening member, and the fastening member is passed through the rear housing and inserted in the frame.

10. The display apparatus according to claim 9, further comprising a fastening protrusion protruding at a rear surface of the frame, wherein the rear housing defines a fastening hole in which the fastening protrusion is inserted.

11. The display apparatus according to claim 1, wherein the rear housing is fixed to the display module through the fastening member, and the fastening member sequentially passes through the rear housing and an edge of the display module.
