1. A method of reducing the viscosity of a mash comprising the steps of,a) milling plant material comprising between about 0.5% to about 100% admix of a transgenic plant expressing at least one starch-digesting enzyme;

  • b) combining milled plant material with a liquid to form a mash in a slurry tank; and

    c) hydrolyzing the starch in the mash to reach a viscosity of less than 3000 cP.
