Abstract
A method of emulating the human brain with its thought and rationalization processes is presented here, as well as a method of storing human-like thought. The invention provides for inclusion of psychological profiles, experience and societal position in an electronic emulation of the human brain. This permits a realistic human-like response by that emulation to the people and the interactive environment around it.

12. A method of emulating human cognition in a brain model containing a plurality of electronically represented neurons, comprising:

providing a context pool memory having a set of neurons corresponding to a present situational context; providing a reinforcement memory having a set of neurons corresponding to experiential relationships; and providing a long term memory having a set of neurons corresponding to experiential relationships and committed to long-term storage; wherein the neurons of the reinforcement memory are reflective of the neurons presently or formerly contained in the context pool and the neurons of the reinforcement memory are placed in the long term memory based upon continued activity in the reinforcement memory. - View Dependent Claims (13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19)

45. A system for storage of a set of electronic neurons in an electronic memory, the structure comprising:

uploading intelligence into each of the plurality of electronic brain models to emulate members of a team; providing access between each of the plurality of electronic brain models via a local network thereby forming a first team; providing a gateway for the first team, the gateway provides access to a second team via a remote network; and enabling a simulation director to coordinate between the first and second team, the simulation director communicating with the first and second team via first and second network ports, respectively, on the remote network.

A method of operating an electronic brain model, the electronic brain model having a plurality of electronic neurons each associated with a parameter value from 0 to 100%, each of the plurality of neurons residing in either a reinforcement memory or a long term memory, the neurons of the reinforcement memory corresponding to experiential relationships, the neurons of the long term memory corresponding to experiential relationships and being committed to long-term storage, the electronic brain model also having a context pool memory containing contextual data and plurality of neuron pointers, each neuron pointer addressing one of the plurality of neurons, the method comprising:

promoting a neuron in the reinforcement memory to the permanent memory based upon a predetermined activity level in the neuron; removing any one of the plurality of neurons when the any one neuron has had reinforcement falling below a predetermined level for a predetermined period of time; removing a neuron pointer from the context pool memory after a neuron addressed by the neuron pointer has a firing level that has fallen below a predetermined threshold; and removing contextual data from the context pool corresponding to the neuron whose associated neuron pointer has been removed from the context pool memory. - View Dependent Claims (56)
