Abstract

A method of using voice commands from a mobile device to remotely access and control a computer. The method includes receiving audio data from the mobile device at the computer. The audio data is decoded into a command. A software program that the command was provided for is determined. At least one process is executed at the computer in response to the command. Output data is generated at the computer in response to executing at least one process at the computer. The output data is transmitted to the mobile device.

Claims

1. A method of remotely accessing and controlling a computer from a mobile device, comprising:

receiving. audio data from the mobile device at the computer;

decoding the audio data into a command;

determining one of two or more native applications corresponding to the command;

executing at least one process at the computer in response to the command;

generating output data at the computer in response to executing at least one process at the computer; and

transmitting the output data to the mobile device.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving image data at the computer from the mobile device; and

executing at least one process at the computer in response to the image data.

3. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

receiving image data at the computer from the mobile device; and

allowing access and control of the computer if the image data matches predetermined image data within a predetermined tolerance.

4. The method of claim 3 wherein allowing access and control of the computer if the image data matches predetermined image data within a predetermined tolerance comprises:

storing a plurality of images of a person at the computer; and

determining whether the image data matches one or more of the plurality of images of the person within a predetermined tolerance.

5. A system for remotely accessing and controlling a computer from a mobile device, comprising:

a mobile device interface receiving mobile device data and determining whether to allow the mobile device access and control of the computer; and

an audio command interface receiving audio data from the mobile device and converting the audio data into command data for one of two or more different native applications at the computer.

6. The system of claim 5 wherein one of two or more different native applications includes an operating system at the computer.

7. The system of claim 5 further comprising a native application video output conversion system receiving video output from one of two or more different native applications operating at the computer and converting the video output into a format compatible with the mobile device.

8. The system of claim 5 further comprising a native application audio output conversion system receiving audio output from one of two or more different native applications operating at the computer and converting the audio output into a format compatible with the mobile device.

9. A system for remotely accessing and controlling a computer from a mobile device, comprising:

means for receiving mobile device data and determining whether to allow the mobile device access and control of the computer; and

means for receiving audio data from the mobile device and converting the audio data into command data for one of two or more different native applications at the computer.

10. The system of claim 9 wherein one of two or more different native applications includes an operating system at the computer.

11. The system of claim 9 further comprising means for receiving video output from one of two or more different native applications operating at the computer and converting the video output into a format compatible with the mobile device.

12. The system of claim 9 further comprising means for receiving audio output from one of two or more different native applications operating at the computer and converting the audio output into a format compatible with the mobile device.
