- providing a tracking system and a diagnostic scope that is tracked by the tracking system;
identifying an abnormality on a bone with the diagnostic scope;
acquiring a plurality of points on or near the abnormality with the diagnostic scope; and
using the acquired points to make an implant having a portion whose shape substantially matches that of the bone abnormality.
