Abstract

A mobile terminal for setting a bookmarked region and its control method are disclosed. According to the method for controlling a mobile terminal, one region of a screen image of an accessed Web page is selected as a select region, and the select region is set as a bookmarked region. When the Web page is re-accessed, the set bookmarked region is displayed as an initial access screen image. Accordingly, when the Web page is re-accessed through bookmarking, the set bookmarked region can be displayed as the initial screen image.

Claims

1. A method of controlling a mobile terminal, the method comprising:

selecting one region of an image of an accessed Web page displayed on a screen;

setting the select region as a bookmarked region; and

displaying the bookmarked region as an initial access screen image when the Web page is re-accessed.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the select region is selected as a Web page frame region including a touch-inputted portion on the Web page screen.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the select region is displayed to be discernible.

4. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

adjusting the size of the select region.

5. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

adjusting a display magnification of an image included in the select region.

7. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

displaying a boundary region of the select region and changing a region selected as the select region on the Web page screen image by shifting the boundary region.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein shifting of the boundary region is performed by touching the boundary region and then dragging the same.

9. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

accessing a website providing the Web page and logging in to the website by using stored log-in authentication information, before displaying the initial access screen image.

10. The method of claim 9, further comprising:

receiving the log-in authentication information and storing the same.

11. The method of claim 9, wherein the log-in authentication information comprises a user ID and a password, and is stored after being ciphered.

13. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

indicating identifiers for discriminating items set at the bookmarked region on a bookmark list.

14. The method of claim 13, wherein the items set at the bookmarked region are configured to display one of the bookmarked region and the entire Web page as an initial access screen image.

6. The method of clam 1, further comprising:

discriminately displaying a particular position of the image included in the select region.

12. The method of clam 1, wherein a mini map indicating position information of the bookmarked region is displayed on the initial access screen.

15. A mobile terminal comprising:

a display unit configured to display a screen image of an accessed Web page; and

a controller configured to set a select region selected from the Web page screen image as a bookmarked region, and to display the bookmarked region as an initial access screen image on the display unit when the Web page is re-accessed.

16. The mobile terminal of claim 15, wherein the display unit is a touch screen.

17. The mobile terminal of claim 16, wherein the controller selects a Web page frame region including a touch-inputted portion on the Web page screen as the select region.

18. The mobile terminal of claim 15, further comprising:

a memory that stores information about the bookmarked region.

19. A method of controlling a mobile terminal, the method comprising:

accessing a Web page by driving a Web browser;

selectively setting a certain region of the Web page; and

displaying the Web page on a screen based on the set region when the Web page is re-accessed.

20. The method of claim 19, wherein if a plurality of regions have been set, one of the set regions are selected, and the Web page is displayed based on the selected region on the screen when the Web page is re-accessed.

21. The method of claim 19, wherein if a plurality of regions have been set, when the Web page is re-accessed, the Web page is displayed based on the first set region or the finally set region on the screen.

22. The method of claim 19, further comprising:

If a plurality of regions have been set, selecting one of the regions and displaying the Web page based on the selected region on the screen, in a state that the Web page is displayed on the screen based on one of the set regions when the Web page is re-accessed.

23. The method of claim 19, wherein, in the displaying, a mini map indicating position information of the set region is further displayed on a portion of the screen.

24. The method of claim 23, wherein the mini map comprises a mini homepage displayed by reducing the Web page and the set region.

25. The method of claim 23, wherein if a plurality of regions have been set, one of the regions is selected, and the Web page is displayed on the screen based on the selected region when the Web page is re-accessed.

27. The method of claim 19, further comprising:

if a plurality of regions have been set, selecting one of the mini maps and displaying the Web page based on a region corresponding to the selected mini map on the screen, in a state that the Web page is displayed on the screen based on one of the set regions when the Web page is re-accessed.

28. The method of claim 23, wherein if a plurality of regions have been set, one of the thickness of an edging portion, color, number, shade, icon of the mini maps is differently displayed.

29. The method of claim 23, wherein if a plurality of regions have been set, one of the thickness of an edging portion, color, number, shade, icon of regions corresponding to the mini maps is differently displayed.

30. The method of claim 19, wherein the set region is one of a log-in region comprising a log-in window, a search region comprising a search window, a select window region comprising a select window, and a link region comprising a hyperlink.

26. The method of clam 23, wherein if a plurality of regions have been set, when the Web page is re-accessed, the Web page is displayed based on the first set region or the finally set region on the screen.

31. A mobile terminal comprising:

a display unit; and

a controller configured to select and set a certain region in an accessed Web page, and to display the Web page on a screen based on the set region when the Web page is re-accessed.

32. The mobile terminal of claim 31, further comprising:

a memory that stores the set region.

33. The mobile terminal of claim 31, further comprising;

a key input unit that comprises at least one of a navigation key and a number key that selects one of regions if a plurality of regions have been set,

and the controller provides control to display the Web page on the screen based on the region selected by the key input unit when the Web page is re-accessed.

34. A method of controlling a mobile terminal, the method comprising:

designating at least one bookmark point in a certain Web page; and

displaying a screen image of the Web page and a thumbnail screen image summarizing the Web page screen image, and displaying at least one bookmark on the thumbnail screen image.

35. The method of claim 34, wherein the bookmark point is displayed as a diagram in a certain color.

36. The method of claim 35, wherein the color of the diagram is set to be the same in each Web page or is different in each Web page in order to emphasize a particular tone.

37. The method of claim 36, wherein the color of the diagram is changeable in an option menu.

38. The method of claim 34, wherein the bookmark point is displayed on the thumbnail screen image when returning to an initial screen image or when re-accessing the same Web page.

39. The method of claim 34, further comprising:

storing at least one designated bookmark point.

40. The method of claim 39, further comprising:

outputting the number of stored bookmark points either in a pop-up manner or as an audio signal.

41. The method of claim 34, further comprising:

setting whether to display the bookmark point.

42. A mobile terminal comprising:

a user input unit configured to control designate at least one bookmark point in a certain Web page;

a memory configured to store the at least one bookmark point designated via the user input unit; and

a controller configured to display the at least one bookmark point on a thumbnail screen image of the Web page screen image.

43. The mobile terminal of claim 42, wherein the bookmark point is displayed in a diagram of a certain color, and the color of the diagram is changeable in an option menu.
