1. A display device comprising:
- an electronic processor capable of receiving and processing a digital input signal, the digital input signal comprising at least multiplexed voice, data, and video information and at least a portion of the digital input signal comprising an internet protocol format having at least a header and a payload, the electronic processor comprising;
a header processing unit capable of processing at least a portion of the header of the digital input signal; and
a central processor unit capable of receiving the payload and the processed portion of the header of the digital input signal, the central processor unit coupled to one or more memory devices and one or more buffering devices;
a display processor unit coupled to the central processor unit, the display processor unit generating an electronic control signal based at least in part on the payload of the digital input signal;
a light processing unit capable of receiving at least a portion of the electronic control signal from the display processor unit, the light processing unit comprising one or more light modulating devices capable of modulating one or more of bands of wavelengths based at least in part on the portion of the electronic control signal;
one or more display screens operable to receive the modulated bands of wavelengths communicated from the one or more light modulating devices and to display the modulated bands of wavelengths, at least one of the one or more display screens comprising a plurality of virtual windows originating from the light processing unit, wherein different virtual windows communicate each of at least a fraction of voice, data, and video information, wherein a virtual window of the voice information comprises caller ID information, and wherein the voice information virtual window is simultaneously displayed with a video information virtual window.

Abstract
An all-digital display system includes an electronic processor that is operable to receive an internet protocol video packet and to generate a control signal based at least in part on the internet protocol video packet. In one particular embodiment, the electronic processor includes at least a header processor, a CPU electronic processor, and a display processor unit. The all-digital display system also includes one or more light sources capable of generating one or more optical signals and one or more light modulating chips. The one or more light modulating chips are operable to receive the one or more optical signals and to modulate the one or more optical signals based at least in part on the control signal. The all-digital display system further comprises one or more display screens operable to receive the modulated signals communicated from the light modulating chips.

7. A method of displaying information, comprising:

processing a digital input signal received at an electronic processor, the digital input signal comprising at least multiplexed voice, data, and video information, at least a portion of the digital input signal comprising an internet protocol format having at least a header and a payload, wherein at least a portion of the header of the digital input signal is processed by the electronic processor; receiving the payload and the processed portion of the header of the digital input signal at a central processor; generating an electronic control signal based at least in part on the payload of the digital input signal; receiving at least a portion of the electronic control signal at a light processing unit, wherein the light processing unit modulates one or more of bands of wavelengths based at least in part on the electronic control signal; communicating the one or more of bands of wavelengths from the light processing unit to one or more display screens, wherein the one or more display screens are operable to receive the modulated bands of wavelengths and to display the modulated bands of wavelengths, at least one of the one or more display screens comprising a plurality of virtual windows originating from the light processing unit, wherein different virtual windows communicate each of at least a fraction of voice, data, and video information, wherein a virtual window associated with the voice information comprises caller ID information, and wherein the voice information virtual window is simultaneously displayed with a video information virtual window.

8. A light processing device comprising:

an electronic processor capable of receiving a digital input signal from a wireless communication link and processing the digital input signal, the digital input signal comprising at least multiplexed voice, data, and video information and at least a portion of the digital input signal comprising an internet protocol format having at least a header and a payload, and wherein the electronic processor comprises; a header processing unit capable of processing at least a portion of the header of the digital input signal; and a central processor unit capable of receiving the payload and the processed portion of the header of the digital input signal, wherein the central processor unit is coupled to one or more memory devices and one or more buffering devices; a display processor unit coupled to the central processor unit, the display processor unit generating an electronic control signal based at least in part on the payload of the digital input signal; a light processing unit capable of receiving at least a portion of the electronic control signal from the display processor unit, the light processing device comprising one or more light modulating devices capable of modulating one or more of bands of wavelengths based at least in part on the portion of the electronic control signal; one or more display screens operable to receive the one or more modulated bands of wavelengths from the one or more light modulating devices and to display the one or more modulated bands of wavelengths; and one or more sensors coupled to the one or more display screens, the one or more sensors adapted to monitor a user, the one or more sensors producing sensor data, wherein the sensor data is adapted to adjust the display of the modulated bands of wavelengths. - View Dependent Claims (9, 10, 11, 12)

processing a digital input signal received at an electronic processor from a wireless communication link, the digital input signal comprising at least multiplexed voice, data, and video information and at least a portion of the digital input signal comprising an internet protocol format having at least a header and a payload, wherein at least a portion of the header of the digital input signal is processed by the electronic processor; receiving the payload and the processed portion of the header of the digital input signal at a central processor; generating an electronic control signal based at least in part on the payload of the digital input signal; receiving at least a portion of the electronic control signal at a light processing unit, the light processing unit modulating one or more of bands of wavelengths based at least in part on the portion of the electronic control signal; communicating the one or more of bands of wavelengths from the light processing unit to one or more display screens, the one or more display screens operable to display the one or more modulated bands of wavelengths;
wherein the one or more display screens are coupled to one or more sensors adapted to monitor a user, wherein the one or more sensors produce sensor data, and wherein the sensor data is adapted to adjust the display of the modulated bands of wavelengths.

an electronic processor capable of receiving and processing a digital input signal, the digital input signal comprising at least multiplexed voice, data, and video information, at least a portion of the digital input signal comprising an internet protocol format having at least a header and a payload, at least a fraction of the video information comprises an advertisement, and wherein the electronic processor comprises; a header processing unit capable of processing at least a portion of the header of the digital input signal; and a central processor unit capable of receiving the payload and the processed portion of the header of the digital input signal, wherein the central processor unit is coupled to one or more memory devices and one or more buffering devices; a display processor unit coupled to the central processor unit, wherein the display processor unit generates an electronic control signal based at least in part on the payload of the digital input signal; a light processing unit capable of receiving at least a portion of the electronic control signal from the display processor unit, the light processing device comprising one or more light modulating devices capable of modulating one or more of bands of wavelengths based at least in part on the portion of the electronic control signal; one or more display screens operable to receive the modulated bands of wavelengths communicated from the one or more light modulating devices and to display the one or more modulated bands of wavelengths; and a user interface unit coupled at least to the central processor unit, wherein the advertisement of the at least a fraction of the video information is based at least in part on an input entered into the user interface unit and wherein the advertisement is simultaneously displayed with other video information. - View Dependent Claims (15, 16, 17, 18, 19)

processing a digital input signal received at an electronic processor, the digital input signal comprising at least multiplexed voice, data, and video information, at least a portion of the digital input signal comprising an internet protocol format having at least a header and a payload, at least a fraction of the video information comprises an advertisement, wherein at least a portion of the header of the digital input signal is processed by the electronic processor; receiving the payload and the processed portion of the header of the digital input signal at a central processor; generating an electronic control signal based at least in part on the payload of the digital input signal; receiving at least a portion of the electronic control signal at a light processing unit, the light processing unit modulating one or more of bands of wavelengths based at least in part on the portion of the electronic control signal; communicating the one or more of bands of wavelengths from the light processing unit to one or more display screens, the one or more display screens operable to display the one or more modulated bands of wavelengths; and displaying the advertisement on at least one of the one or more display screens, wherein the advertisement is based at least in part on an input entered at a user interface unit coupled to the central processor and wherein the advertisement is simultaneously displayed with other video information.
