Abstract

A portable functional unit having a main body and a consumer electronic device coupled to the main body. The main body includes an erasable writing surface, a physical storage compartment for storing articles used with the white board surface, a first service port for selective communication of data, and a second service port for selective communication of power. The main body is adapted to receive the service from the service port.

53. A portable functional unit comprising:

a main body having;

an erasable writing surface;

a physical storage compartment for storing articles used with the white board surface,

a first service port for selective communication of data;

a second service port for selective communication of power

a consumer electronic device coupled to the main body and adapted to receive the service from the service port.

54. The functional unit according to claim 53, wherein the electronic comprises an audio device.

55. The functional unit according to claim 53, wherein the electronic device comprises a CED.

56. The functional unit according to claim 53, wherein the electronic comprises a speaker.

57. The functional unit according to claim 53, wherein the electronic comprises a microphone.

58. The functional unit according to claim 53, wherein the electronic comprises a video device.

59. The functional unit according to claim 53, wherein the writing surface comprises a white board.
