Abstract

A method of decoding a current layer using inter-layer prediction is disclosed. The present invention includes obtaining a first flag information indicating whether a current block of the current layer is coded using the inter-layer prediction, obtaining a quality identification information identifying a quality of the current block, obtaining a second flag information based on the first flag information and the quality identification information, the second flag information indicating whether a reference block is included in a specific slice of a reference layer, and decoding the current block based on the second flag information.

Claims

1. A method of decoding a current layer using inter-layer prediction, comprising:

obtaining a first flag information indicating whether a current block of the current layer is coded using the inter-layer prediction;

obtaining a quality identification information identifying a quality of the current block;

obtaining a second flag information based on the first flag information and the quality identification information, the second flag information indicating whether a reference block is included in a specific slice of a reference layer; and

decoding the current block based on the second flag information.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the reference layer differs from the current layer in a screen ratio or a spatial resolution, the current layer being from a same video signal of the reference layer.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein when the reference block is included in the specific slice of the reference layer, the current block is decoded using an intra-block in the reference layer.

4. The method of claim 1, wherein when the reference block overlaps at least two slices in the reference layer, the current block is marked as a non-use of an intra-block in the reference layer.

9. The method of claim 1, wherein the video signal is received as a broadcast signal.

10. The method of claim 1, wherein the video signal is received via a digital medium.

11. A computer-readable medium in which a program to execute the method of claim 1 is recorded.

5. A method of encoding a video signal comprising:

checking whether a reference block in a reference layer corresponding to a current block is included in a specific slice of the reference layer;

generating an information indicating with a handling of a slice boundary based on a result of the checking; and

encoding a bit stream of a current layer based on the information indicating a handling of the slice boundary.

6. The method of claim 5, wherein when the reference block in the corresponding reference layer is included in the specific slice of the reference layer, the current block is encoded using an intra-block in the reference layer.

7. The method of claim 5, wherein when the reference block in the corresponding reference layer overlaps at least two slices in the reference layer, the current block is not encodable using an intra-block in the reference layer.

8. The method of claim 5, wherein the current layer differs from the reference layer in a screen ratio or a spatial resolution, the reference layer being from a same video signal of the current layer.
