Abstract

To provide a move function that can restore copy-once contents even if the contents are failed to be moved midway, an information storage device 10 comprises data moving unit 14 for making program data 12 stored on a first storage medium 11 unreproducible and for moving the program data 12 to a second storage medium 13, abnormality detecting unit 15 for monitoring an abnormal termination of the data moving unit 14, storage medium verifying unit 16 for verifying whether or not the second storage medium 13 is the same as the second storage medium 13 used when the abnormality detecting unit 15 detects the abnormal termination of the data moving unit 14, medium initializing unit 17 for initializing the second storage medium 13, and reactivating unit 18 for making the program data 12, which is made unreproducible by the data moving unit 14, reproducible.

Claims

1. An information storage device that can move program data stored on a first storage medium to a second storage medium, comprising:

data moving unit for moving the program data from the first storage medium to the second storage medium after making the program data unreproducible;

abnormality detecting unit for detecting an abnormal termination of said data moving unit;

storage medium verifying unit for verifying whether or not the second storage medium is the same as the second storage medium used when an abnormal termination is detected, upon detection of the abnormal termination of said data moving unit by said abnormality detecting unit;

medium initializing unit for initializing the second storage medium if said storage medium verifying unit determines that the second storage medium is the same as the second storage medium used when the abnormal termination is detected; and

reactivating unit for making the program data reproducible upon completion of initializing the second storage medium by said medium initializing unit.

2. The information storage device according to claim 1, wherein

said data moving unit comprises

medium identifier obtaining unit for obtaining from the second storage medium a medium identifier for identifying the second storage medium,

invisualizing unit for generating encrypted data by encrypting desired program data stored on the first storage medium with the use of the medium identifier as an encryption key, and for making the encrypted data unreproducible, and

writing unit for reading the encrypted data from the first storage medium, for decrypting the read data with the use of the medium identifier, and for writing the data to the second storage medium.

3. The information storage device according to claim 1, wherein

said storage medium verifying unit comprises

abnormal-time medium identifier obtaining unit for obtaining from the second storage medium an abnormal-time medium identifier for identifying the second storage medium if said abnormality detecting unit detects an abnormality of the writing, and

decryption verifying unit for verifying whether or not the encrypted data can be decrypted with the use of the abnormal-time medium identifier, and for determining that the second storage medium is the same as the second storage medium used when said abnormality detecting unit detects an abnormal termination if the encrypted data can be decrypted.

4. The information storage device according to claim 1, wherein

said data moving unit comprises

medium identifier obtaining unit for obtaining from the second storage medium a medium identifier for identifying the second storage medium,

invisualizing unit for generating encrypted data by encrypting part of desired program data stored on the first storage medium with the use of the medium identifier as an encryption key, and for making the program data unreproducible, and

writing unit for reading the program data from the first storage medium, and for writing the read data to the second storage medium.

5. The information storage device according to claim 1, wherein

said storage medium verifying unit comprises

abnormal-time medium identifier obtaining unit for obtaining from the second storage medium an abnormal-time medium identifier for identifying the second storage medium if said abnormality detecting unit detects an abnormality of the writing, and

decryption verifying unit for verifying whether or not the encrypted data can be decrypted with the use of the abnormal-time medium identifier, and for determining that the second storage medium is the same as the second storage medium used when said abnormality detecting unit detects an abnormal termination if the encrypted data can be decrypted.

6. An information storage device having a function to move program data stored on a first storage medium to a second storage medium, comprising:

medium identifier obtaining unit for obtaining from the second storage medium a medium identifier for identifying the second storage medium;

invisualizing unit for generating encrypted data by encrypting desired program data stored on the first storage medium with the use of the medium identifier as an encryption key, and for making the encrypted data unreproducible;

writing unit for reading the encrypted data from the first storage medium, for decrypting the read data with the use of the medium identifier, and for writing the data to the second storage medium; and

encrypted data deleting unit for deleting the encrypted data stored on the first storage medium upon completion of the writing.

7. The information storage device according to claim 6, further comprising:

abnormality detecting unit for detecting an abnormal termination of the writing;

abnormal-time medium identifier obtaining unit for obtaining from the second storage medium an abnormal-time medium identifier for identifying the second storage medium upon detection of an abnormality of the writing by said abnormality detecting unit;

decryption verifying unit for verifying whether or not the encrypted data can be decrypted with the use of the abnormal-time medium identifier;

medium initializing unit for initializing the second storage medium if said decryption verifying unit determines that the encrypted data can be decrypted with the use of the abnormal-time medium identifier; and

reactivating unit for making the decrypted data reproducible by decrypting the encrypted data with the use of the medium identifier upon completion of initializing the second storage medium by said medium initializing unit.

8. A data moving method for moving program data stored on a first storage medium to a second storage medium, which causes an information storage device to execute:

a data moving process for moving the program data from the first storage medium to the second storage medium after making the program data unreproducible;

a storage medium verifying process for verifying whether or not the second storage medium is the same as the second storage medium used when an abnormal termination is detected, upon detection of the abnormal termination of said data moving process;

a medium initializing process for initializing the second storage medium if said storage medium verifying process determines that the second storage medium is the same as the second storage medium used when the abnormal termination is detected; and

a reactivating process for making the program data reproducible upon completion of initializing the second storage medium by said medium initializing process.

9. The data moving method according to claim 8, wherein

said data moving process comprises

obtaining from the second storage medium a medium identifier for identifying the second storage medium,

generating encrypted data by encrypting desired program data stored on the first storage medium with the use of the medium identifier as an encryption key, and making the encrypted data unreproducible, and

reading the encrypted data from the first storage medium, decrypting the read data with the use of the medium identifier, and writing the data to the second storage medium.

10. The data moving method according to claim 8, wherein

said storage medium verifying process comprises

obtaining from the second storage medium an abnormal-time medium identifier for identifying the second storage medium upon detection of the abnormal termination of said data moving process, and

verifying whether or not the encrypted data can be decrypted with the use of the abnormal-time medium identifier, and determining that the second storage medium is the same as the second storage medium used when an abnormal termination is detected if the encrypted data can be decrypted.

11. The data moving method according to claim 8, wherein

said data moving process comprises

obtaining from the second storage medium a medium identifier for identifying the second storage medium,

generating encrypted data by encrypting part of desired program data stored on the first storage medium with the use of the medium identifier as an encryption key, and making the program data unreproducible, and

reading the program data from the first storage medium, and writing the read data to the second storage medium.

12. The data moving method according to claim 8, wherein

said storage medium verifying process comprises

obtaining from the second storage medium an abnormal-time medium identifier for identifying the second storage medium upon detection of the abnormal termination of said data moving process, and

verifying whether or not the encrypted data can be decrypted with the use of the abnormal-time medium identifier, and determining that the second storage medium is the same as the second storage medium used when abnormality detecting unit detects an abnormal termination if the encrypted data can be decrypted.

13. A storage medium for data moving program for causing an information storage device to move program data stored on a first storage medium to a second storage medium by causing the information storage device to execute:

a data moving process for moving the program data from the first storage medium to the second storage medium after making the program data unreproducible;

a storage medium verifying process for verifying whether or not the second storage medium is the same as the second storage medium used when an abnormal termination is detected, upon detection of the abnormal termination of said data moving process;

a medium initializing process for initializing the second storage medium if said storage medium verifying process determines that the second storage medium is the same as the second storage medium used when the abnormal termination is detected; and

a reactivating process for making the program data reproducible upon completion of initializing the second storage medium by said medium initializing process.

14. The storage medium for data moving program according to claim 13, wherein

said data moving process comprises

a step of obtaining from the second storage medium a medium identifier for identifying the second storage medium,

a step of generating encrypted data by encrypting desired program data stored on the first storage medium with the use of the medium identifier as an encryption key, and making the encrypted data unreproducible, and

a step of reading the encrypted data from the first storage medium, of decrypting the read data with the use of the medium identifier, and of writing the data to the second storage medium.

15. The storage medium for data moving program according to claim 13, wherein

said storage medium verifying process comprises

a step of obtaining from the second storage medium an abnormal-time medium identifier for identifying the second storage medium upon detection of the abnormal termination of said data moving process, and

a step of verifying whether or not the encrypted data can be decrypted with the use of the abnormal-time medium identifier, and of determining that the second storage medium is the same as the second storage medium used when abnormality detecting unit detects an abnormal termination if the encrypted data can be decrypted.

16. The storage medium for data moving program according to claim 13, wherein

said data moving process comprises

a step of obtaining from the second storage medium a medium identifier for identifying the second storage medium,

a step of generating encrypted data by encrypting part of desired program data stored on the first storage medium with the use of the medium identifier as an encryption key, and of making the program data unreproducible, and

a step of reading the program data from the first storage medium, and of writing the read data to the second storage medium.

17. The storage medium for data moving program according to claim 13, wherein

said storage medium verifying process comprises

a step of obtaining from the second storage medium an abnormal-time medium identifier for identifying the second storage medium upon detection of the abnormal termination of said data moving process, and

a step of verifying whether or not the encrypted data can be decrypted with the use of the abnormal-time medium identifier, and of determining that the second storage medium is the same as the second storage medium used when abnormality detecting unit detects an abnormal termination if the encrypted data can be decrypted.
