Abstract

The invention relates to a seat, in particular, a vehicle or aircraft passenger seat with seat components such as a seat base (12), a backrest (14) and a coupling device (16) for coupling the movement of at least one part of the seat components between an exit (1) and at least one comfortable (II) position and vice versa. According to the invention, the coupling device (16) comprises at least one control piece, which may be controlled using the movement of the backrest (14) and/or the seat base (12) and hence by means of at least one further control piece to move the seat base (12) and/or the backrest (14) between said positions (I, II), whereby an adjustment, in particular, tilting movement of the backrest is linked with a simultaneous adjustment movement of the seat base which, preferably in the rearward transition region into the backrest descends by a given amount relative to the front edge of the seat which simultaneously moves forward to increase the seat depth.

Claims

1. A seat, especially a vehicle or aircraft passenger seat, having seat components such as a seat base (12), a backrest (14) and a coupling means (16) for coupling the movement of at least one part of the seat components between an initial (I) and at least one comfort position (II) and vice versa, characterized in that the coupling means (16) has at least one control part which can be actuated by way of movement of the backrest (14) and/or of the seat base (12), and in this connection at least via another control part moves the seat base (12) and/or the backrest (14) between the indicated positions (I, II).

2. The seat according to claim 1, wherein one control part has at least one angle lever (20) which is coupled by its one end region (18) to the backrest (14) and is dynamically connected by its other end region (22) to at least one connecting rod drive as another control part.

The seat according to claim 2, wherein the coupling of the backrest (14) to the respective angle lever (20) is rigid, and wherein the respective connecting rod drive has at least one pair of connecting rods (26, 28) which act pivotally with their respectively opposite end regions on the assignable angle lever (20) and on the base structure of the seat.

The seat according to claim 3, wherein in the initial position (I) the connecting rods (26, 28) of each pair are tilted in the direction to the backrest (14) and wherein conversely in the comfort position (II) at least one connecting rod (26) of the pair is tilted to the other connecting rod (28).

The seat according to claim 3, wherein in each state of motion the coupling points (27, 30) of the connecting rods (26, 28) of one pair of connecting rods on the angle lever (20) have the same distance from one another, in the same manner as the coupling points (29, 32) of the pair of connecting rods on the base structure.

6. The seat according to claim 3, wherein the seat base (12) can be tilted via at least one coupling part (31) of the coupling means (16) and is connected to be adjustable in length to the assignable angle lever (20) and the assignable connecting rod drive.

7. The seat according to claim 3, wherein one connecting rod (28) of one pair is bent at a right angle on its side facing the angle lever (20) in the initial position (I) in the direction of the other connecting rod (26).

8. The seat according to claim 3, wherein the connecting rods (26, 28) of the respective connecting rod drive in each displacement position overlap a hollow section-like support body (40) as part of the base structure with which the seat (10) can be placed upright on the floor or deck.

9. The seat according to claim 1, wherein, with the rear tilt position of the backrest (14) and the bodily force, an energy storage device is charged, which with the opposite righting motion of the backrest (14) thereby supports this backrest.
