Abstract

A process and system are provided for transmitting monitoring states between respirators. The process includes the detection of and recording of monitoring states of a monitoring unit (5) of at least a first monitoring period (10) of a first respirator (2). There is an assignment of an identification to the monitoring states of the monitoring unit (5) of the at least first monitoring period (10) of the first respirator (2). There is a transmission of the monitoring states of the monitoring unit (5) of the at least first monitoring period (10) of the first respirator (2) to a second respirator (3). This is followed by a setting of the monitoring unit (5) of the second respirator (3) corresponding to the transmitted monitoring states of the monitoring unit (5) of the at least first monitoring period (10) of the first respirator (2). This is then followed by a repetition of steps for the monitoring states of the monitoring unit (5) of each additional monitoring period (10) of the first respirator (2).

Claims

1. A process for transmitting monitoring states between respirators, the process comprising the steps of:

a) detecting and recording monitoring states of a monitoring unit for an at least first monitoring period of a first respirator;

b) assigning an identification to the monitoring states of said monitoring unit of the at least first monitoring period of said first respirator;

c) transmitting monitoring states of said monitoring unit of the at least first monitoring period of said first respirator to a second respirator;

d) setting a second respirator monitoring unit of said second respirator corresponding to the transmitted monitoring states of said monitoring unit of the at least first monitoring period of said first respirator; and

e) repeating said steps a) through d) for monitoring states of said monitoring unit of each additional monitoring period of said first respirator.

A process in accordance with claim 1, wherein together with the identification assigned in said process step b), the data detected in said process step a) are transmitted to a monitoring information system, wherein the data detected in said process step a) are stored on said monitoring information system by the identification assigned in said process step b).

3. A process in accordance with claim 1, wherein data for characterizing the monitoring states of said monitoring unit of the at least first monitoring period of said first respirator are stored on a readable memory element.

4. A process in accordance with claim 3, wherein said memory element is provided in an accessory.

5. A process in accordance with claim 4, wherein said accessory comprises a flexible breathing tube.

6. A process in accordance with claim 3, wherein the data for characterizing the monitoring states of said monitoring unit of the at least first monitoring period of said first respirator comprise the identification assigned in said process step b).

7. A process in accordance with claim 4, wherein the accessory is connected in said process step c) to said second respirator, and the data of said memory element of the accessory are read by a receiving unit of said second respirator.

8. A process in accordance with claim 2, wherein the monitoring states of the at least first said monitoring period of said first respirator are requested by said second respirator by means of said monitoring information system by the identification and transmitting to said second respirator.

9. A process in accordance with claim 2, wherein said first respirator, said second respirator and said monitoring information system are connected to one another via a data network.

10. A process in accordance with claim 1, wherein current monitoring states of said second respirator are taken into account in said process step d).

11. A process in accordance with claim 10, wherein a deviation of the current monitoring states of said second respirator from the monitoring states of said monitoring unit of the at least first monitoring period of said first respirator is signaled.

12. A process in accordance with claim 1, wherein a monitoring state comprises a state of activation and/or deactivation of at least one variable to be monitored.

13. A process in accordance with claim 12, wherein the at least one variable to be monitored comprises an SPO₂ measurement, a CO₂ measurement, an O₂ measurement and/or an anesthetic concentration measurement.

14. A process in accordance with claim 12, wherein the activation and/or deactivation of the at least one variable to be monitored is taken into account in said process step d).

15. A process in accordance with claim 1, wherein at least one variable to be monitored is activated in said process step d).

16. A process in accordance with claim 15, wherein the activation of the at least one variable to be monitored is carried out with a time delay.

17. A system for transmitting monitoring states between respirators, the system comprising:

a first respirator with a first respirator monitoring unit detecting and recording monitoring states for an at least first monitoring period of said first respirator and assigning an identification to the monitoring states of said first respirator monitoring unit of the at least first monitoring period of said first respirator;

a second respirator with a second respirator monitoring unit;

a transmitting unit associated with said first respirator for transmitting monitoring states of said first respirator monitoring unit of the at least first monitoring period of said first respirator to said second respirator for setting said second respirator monitoring unit of said second respirator corresponding to the transmitted monitoring states of said first respirator monitoring unit of the at least first said monitoring period of said first respirator, said first respirator monitoring unit repeating said detecting and recording for monitoring states of said first respirator monitoring unit of each additional monitoring period of said first respirator and said transmitting unit transmitting monitoring states of each additional monitoring period for setting said second respirator monitoring.

A system in accordance with claim 17, further comprising a monitoring information system wherein together with the identification assigned, the data detected by said first respirator monitoring unit in detecting monitoring states are transmitted to said monitoring information system, wherein the data detected are stored on said monitoring information system based on the identification assigned.

19. A process in accordance with claim 17, wherein data for characterizing the monitoring states of said first respirator monitoring unit of the at least first monitoring period of said first respirator are stored on a readable memory element.

20. A process in accordance with claim 19, wherein said memory element is provided in an accessory comprising a flexible breathing tube.
