Abstract

Pigment wetting agent contains a mixture of monoesters and diesters of butylene glycol and fatty acids.

Claims

1. Use of a mixture of monoesters and diesters of butylene glycol and fatty acids as pigment wetting agent.

2. Use according to claim 1, wherein the fatty acids are selected from the group consisting of C₆-C₂₂ fatty acids.

3. Use according to claim 1, wherein the monoesters and diesters are obtained from saturated and/or unsaturated fatty acids, different and/or identical.

4. Use according to claim 1, wherein the mixture is obtained by esterification of butylene glycol with all or part of fatty acids of natural origin.

5. Use according to claim 1, wherein lauric acid represents at least 40% by weight of the fatty acids.

6. Use according to claim 1, wherein the mixture is obtained by esterification of butylene glycol with a fraction of C₁₂ to C₁₈ fatty acids issuing from coconut oil.

7. Use according to claim 1, wherein the monoesters represent between 10 and 90% by weight of the mixture.

12. Use according to claim 4, wherein the fatty acids of natural origin comprise fatty acids from vegetable oil.

13. Use according to claim 5, wherein lauric acid represents between 50% and 60% by weight of the fatty acids.

14. Use according to claim 7, wherein the monoesters represent between 40% and 60% by weight of the mixture.

8. Dispersion comprising a mixture of monoesters and diesters of butylene glycol and fatty acids as a pigment wetting agent, and of pigments.

9. Dispersion according to claim 8, further comprising a stabilizer.

10. Dispersion according to claim 8, further comprising at least one lipophilic phase.

11. Dispersion according to claim 10, further comprising a stabilizer.
