Abstract

An endoscopic instrument includes a rigid hollow shank (2) and a tool (8) at the distal instrument end. The tool (8) is driven in rotation via a drive shaft (14), which is guided within the hollow shank (2). At the distal end of the hollow shank (2), the tool (8) projects out of the hollow shank (2), where it may be angled with respect to the distal end of the hollow shank (2).

Claims

1. An endoscopic instrument for removal of material, tissue and the like, comprising a rigid hollow shank (2) and a tool (8) at a distal instrument end, the tool being driven in rotation by a drive shaft (14) guided in the hollow shank (2), wherein the tool projects from the distal end of the hollow shank (2) and may be angled with respect to a distal end of the hollow shank (2).

2. The endoscopic instrument according to claim 1, wherein the tool (8) is arranged in a head part (6) for mounting the tool (8), and wherein the head part (6) is articulated on the distal end of the hollow shank (2) such that the tool may be angled.

3. The endoscopic instrument according to claim 2, wherein the head part (6) via a joint part (42) is coupled in movement to an actuation rod (38) movable in the hollow shank (2) in an axial direction of the shank.

4. The endoscopic instrument according to claim 3, wherein the instrument on a proximal end comprises a handle (44), which is coupled in movement to the actuation rod (38).

5. The endoscopic instrument according to claim 4, wherein the actuation rod (38) forms a channel for supplying and/or leading away rinsing fluid.

6. The endoscopic instrument according to claim 1, wherein the tool (8) is coupled in movement in a direct or indirect manner to the drive shaft (14) via a universal joint (18).

7. The endoscopic instrument according to claim 1, wherein the drive shaft (14) comprises at least two parts.

8. The endoscopic instrument according to claim 1, wherein at least one channel is formed within the hollow shank (2), the at least one channel running out in a region of the distal end of the hollow shank.

9. The endoscopic instrument according to claim 1, wherein the drive shaft (14) forms a channel for supplying and/or leading away rinsing fluid.
