1. A method in a communication network comprising a plurality of network controllers and a plurality of mobile nodes served by at least one of the plurality of network controllers, the method comprising:
- the plurality of network controllers coordinating interference avoidance by co-operatively generating an interference avoidance database;
at least one of the plurality of network controllers updating the interference avoidance database, wherein updating the interference avoidance database includes receiving at least one interference avoidance related information from at least one of the plurality of mobile nodes; and
the at least one of the plurality of network controllers communicating the updated interference avoidance database to at least one another of the plurality of network controllers.
