Abstract

A system and method for tracking data in a gaming environment using a beacon is provided and includes identifying an occurrence of a triggering event in a gaming environment, generating at least one key-value pair in response to the triggering event in the gaming environment, generating beacon data responsive to the at least one key-value pair and processing the beacon data to generate a key-value table data.

Claims

1. A method for tracking data in a gaming environment using a beacon, comprising:

identifying an occurrence of a triggering event in a gaming environment;

receiving at least one key-value pair data in response to the triggering event in the gaming environment;

generating beacon data responsive to the at least one key-value pair data; and

processing the beacon data to generate a key-value table data.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein said generating beacon data further includes identifying at least one key-value pair in the at least one key-value pair data, wherein the at least one key-value pair includes a related key and value.

3. The method of claim 2, wherein said generating beacon data further includes generating a data string which includes the related key separated from the related value by a first character.

4. The method of claim 3, wherein if said at least one key-value pair data includes a plurality of key-value pairs, said generating beacon data further includes generating a data string which includes separating the plurality of key-value pairs from each other by a second character.

5. The method of claim 1, wherein said generating beacon data further includes receiving impression data and concatenating the impression data with the at least one key-value pair data.

6. A system for implementing a method for tracking data in a gaming environment using a beacon, comprising:

a network having a database; and

a gaming device connected to the network and configured to operate in a gaming environment, wherein at least one of the gaming device and the network includes a means for,

identifying an occurrence of a triggering event in a gaming environment;

receiving at least one key-value pair data in response to the triggering event in the gaming environment;

generating beacon data responsive to the at least one key-value pair data; and

processing the beacon data to generate a key-value table data.

7. The system of claim 6, wherein said generating beacon data further includes identifying at least one key-value pair in the at least one key-value pair data, wherein the at least one key-value pair includes a related key and value.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein said generating beacon data further includes generating a data string which includes the related key separated from the related value by a first character.

9. The method of claim 8, wherein if said at least one key-value pair data includes a plurality of key-value pairs, said generating beacon data further includes generating a data string which includes separating the plurality of key-value pairs from each other by a second character.

10. The method of claim 6, wherein said generating beacon data further includes receiving impression data and concatenating the impression data with the at least one key-value pair data.

11. A computer readable storage medium having computer executable instructions for implementing a method for tracking data in a gaming environment using a beacon, comprising:

identifying an occurrence of a triggering event in a gaming environment;

receiving at least one key-value pair data in response to the triggering event in the gaming environment;

generating beacon data responsive to the at least one key-value pair data; and

processing the beacon data to generate a key-value table data.

12. The computer readable storage medium of claim 11, wherein said generating beacon data further includes identifying at least one key-value pair in the at least one key-value pair data, wherein the at least one key-value pair includes a related key and value.

13. The computer readable storage medium of claim 12, wherein said generating beacon data further includes generating a data string which includes the related key separated from the related value by a first character.

14. The computer readable storage medium of claim 13, wherein if said at least one key-value pair data includes a plurality of key-value pairs, said generating beacon data further includes generating a data string which includes separating the plurality of key-value pairs from each other by a second character.

15. The computer readable storage medium of claim 11, wherein said generating beacon data further includes receiving impression data and concatenating the impression data with the at least one key-value pair data.
