Abstract

The present invention provides a method of processing data in digital broadcasting system. The method includes receiving a broadcast signal including mobile broadcast service data and main broadcast service data, wherein the mobile broadcast service data configures a RS frame, and wherein the RS frame includes at least one data packet corresponding to the mobile broadcast service data, an RS parity generated based upon the at least one data packet, and a CRC checksum generated based upon the at least one data packet and the RS parity, performing CRC-decoding and RS-decoding on the RS frame, thereby correcting errors occurred in the corresponding mobile broadcast service data, extracting video data from the mobile broadcast service data, and decoding the extracted video data, wherein the video data includes data of a base layer and data of an enhanced layer and wherein the enhanced layer has a spatial resolution or an image quality different from that of the base layer.

Claims

1. A method of processing data, comprising:

receiving a broadcast signal including mobile broadcast service data and main broadcast service data,

wherein the mobile broadcast service data configures a RS frame, and wherein the RS frame includes at least one data packet corresponding to the mobile broadcast service data, an RS parity generated based upon the at least one data packet, and a CRC checksum generated based upon the at least one data packet and the RS parity;

performing CRC-decoding and RS-decoding on the RS frame, thereby correcting errors occurred in the corresponding mobile broadcast service data;

extracting video data from the mobile broadcast service data; and

decoding the extracted video data,

wherein the video data includes data of a base layer and data of an enhanced layer and wherein the enhanced layer has a spatial resolution or an image quality different from that of the base layer.

2. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

detecting the transmission parameter from the mobile broadcast service data; and

symbol-decoding the mobile broadcast service data included in the received broadcast signal in block units, based upon the detected transmission parameter,

wherein the transmission parameter is inserted between known data sequences.

3. The method of claim 1, further comprising:

controlling power based upon the detected transmission parameter, thereby receiving a data group including requested mobile broadcast service data.

4. The method of claim 1, the decoding step comprising:

obtaining extension information of a NAL header from a NAL header extension area of the video data; and

performing an interlayer prediction based on the extension information of the NAL header,

wherein the extension information of the NAL header includes at least one of quality level information, information indicating whether the interlayer prediction is used, and dependency information of the NAL unit.

5. The method of claim 4, the interlayer prediction performing step comprising predicting a target block of the enhanced layer using a corresponding area of the base layer, wherein the corresponding area of the base layer is an intra-mode coded area.

6. The method of claim 4, the interlayer prediction performing step comprising predicting a target block of the enhanced layer using a corresponding area of the base layer, wherein the corresponding area of the base layer is a residual coded area.

7. The method of claim 4, the interlayer prediction performing step comprising:

determining whether a position of a target block in the enhanced layer is included in an upsampled base layer; and

performing the interlayer prediction, when the position of the target block is included in the upsampled base layer.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein for the interlayer prediction, the target block is predicted using at least one reference image and wherein the target macroblock corresponds to one of 16×

16 macroblock, 16×

8 macroblock, 8×

16 macroblock, 8×

8 macroblock, 8×

4 macroblock and 4×

4 macroblock.

9. A digital broadcast system comprising:

a receiver receiving a broadcast signal including mobile broadcast service data and main broadcast service data,

wherein the mobile broadcast service data configures a RS frame, and wherein the RS frame includes at least one data packet corresponding to the mobile broadcast service data, an RS parity generated based upon the at least one data packet, and a CRC checksum generated based upon the at least one data packet and the RS parity;

a RS frame decoder performing CRC-decoding and RS-decoding on the RS frame, thereby correcting errors occurred in the corresponding mobile broadcast service data;

a demultiplexing unit extracting video data from the mobile broadcast service data; and

a video data decoding unit decoding the extracted video data,

wherein the video data includes data of a base layer and data of an enhanced layer and wherein the enhanced layer has a spatial resolution or an image quality different from that of the base layer.

10. The digital broadcast system of claim 9, further comprising:

a transmission parameter detector detecting the transmission parameter from the mobile broadcast service data; and

a block decoder symbol-decoding the mobile broadcast service data included in the received broadcast signal in block units, based upon the detected transmission parameter,

wherein the transmission parameter is inserted between known data sequences.

11. The digital broadcast system of claim 9, further comprising:

a power controller controlling power based upon the detected transmission parameter, thereby receiving a data group including requested mobile broadcast service data.

12. The digital broadcast system of claim 9, the video data decoding unit comprising:

a demultiplexing unit obtaining extension information of a NAL header from a NAL header extension area of the video data; and

an enhanced layer decoding unit performing an interlayer prediction based on the extension information of the NAL header,

wherein the extension information of the NAL header includes at least one of quality level information, information indicating whether the interlayer prediction is used, and dependency information of the NAL unit.

13. The digital broadcast system of claim 12, the enhanced layer decoding unit comprising an inter-prediction unit predicting a target block of the enhanced layer using a corresponding area of the base layer, wherein the corresponding area of the base layer is an intra-mode coded area.

14. The digital broadcast system of claim 12, the enhanced layer decoding unit comprising an inter-prediction unit predicting a target block of the enhanced layer using a corresponding area of the base layer, wherein the corresponding area of the base layer is a residual coded area.

15. The digital broadcast system of claim 12, the enhanced layer decoding unit comprising a demultiplexing unit determining whether a position of a target block of the enhanced layer is included in an upsampled base layer, wherein when the position of the target block is included in the upsampled base layer, the interlayer prediction is performed.
