synchronizing the community of users based upon the community index by providing the stored interaction record to users such that the users have the same interaction record; and

A system for storing, managing, and accessing information on a network by providing an interface between a social network and a content network includes an applications platform. The system provides messaging and social networking facility incorporating enhanced instant messaging, file synchronization, network presence, interactive chat capabilities, text messaging, voice and video messaging, blogging, and email. The system includes a viewer, an indexing facility, and a storage facility. The viewer enables users to traverse content and provides services based upon context of time, place, structure, node, and observed user behavior. The viewer provides a means for users to interact with information on the network and services to manipulate information and transact activities. The indexing facility manages the structure of the network and tracks attributes and controlled vocabularies. The indexing facility supports navigation across the structure and resolves the logical index to a physical storage location. The storage facility provides physical persistence for an information component.

a content synchronization module that determines which versions exist for a piece of content and determines the latest version of the content; a content management module that manages the content within a community of users by incorporating indexing standards created by the community of users, a user rating and content rating module that establishes a value of the content by evaluating content ratings provided by the community of users, by evaluating user ratings provided by the community of users, and by evaluating user behavior in the social network and the content network; a user interface grid module that displays and refines on demand a user-defined tree view of tabular data of the content based upon the value of the content and the community of users in which the content exists; a keeper failover module that dynamically manages an index for each community of users and establishes a community keeper that possesses a most up-to-date version of the content; and an additional content module that provides additional content to a user in the community of users based upon content characteristics, user characteristics, and characteristics of the community of users.
