1. A method of recording a slide show presentation using a presentation application implemented on an electronic device, wherein the slide show presentation comprises one or more slides, the method comprising:
- in response to receiving a user indication to record the slide show presentation;
displaying the one or more slides of the slide show presentation with a particular timing between transitions; and
enabling an audio input device to record audio onto an audio track; and
creating media with audio and visual components, wherein the audio component comprises the audio track and the visual component comprises the one or more slides having the particular timing between the transitions.

Abstract
A presentation application for recording and exporting slide show presentations is provided. Using the presentation application, a user can give a slide show presentation and request that the presentation application record the presentation. The presentation application may enable a microphone to record audio for the presentation. The presentation application may keep track of the timing between transitions in the slides of the presentation. Using the audio and the transition timing, the presentation application can create an audio-visual media file, such as an MPEG file. Using the presentation application, the user can export the audio-visual media file to another source or program, such as the Internet or QuickTime.
