Abstract

The invention relates to a lighting device (10) with a light emitter (1) that comprises OLEDs of at least two different primary colors. The light emitter (1) is followed by a primary optics, e.g. a collimator (13) or a lens, and by a tapered tubular reflector (14) with a diameter (d) that increases from its narrow end to its wide end. The light emitter (1) may particularly be composed of concentric rings of different OLEDs.

Claims

1. A lighting device (10, 20), comprising

a light emitter (1, 2, 3) comprising OLEDs of at least two different primary colors;

primary optics (13, 23) for collimating and mixing light of the light emitter;

a tapered tubular reflector (14, 24) with a diameter (d) that increases from the narrow end to the wide end of the reflector, wherein the reflector (14, 24) is disposed with its narrow end adjacent to the primary optics (13, 23).

2. The lighting device (10, 20) according to claim 1,

characterized in that the light emitter (1, 2, 3) comprises at least three OLEDs (R, G, B) of different colors.

3. The lighting device (10, 20) according to claim 1,

characterized in that the light emitter (1, 2, 3) comprises a blue OLED (B) in its centre.

4. The lighting device (10, 20) according to claim 1,

characterized in that the diameter of the light emitter (1, 2, 3) is larger than 1 mm.

5. The lighting device (10, 20) according to claim 1,

characterized in that the light emitter (1, 2, 3) covers a circular area.

6. The lighting device (10, 20) according to claim 1,

characterized in that the light emitter (1, 2, 3) comprises concentric rings of OLEDs (R, G, B) of different colors.

7. The lighting device (10, 20) according to claim 1,

characterized in that the light emitter (1, 2, 3) comprises sectors of OLEDs (R, G, B) of different colors.

8. The lighting device (10, 20) according to claim 1,

characterized in that the primary optics comprises a collimator (13) or a lens (23).

9. The lighting device (10, 20) according to claim 1,

characterized in that the cross section of the reflector (14, 24) taken perpendicular to its axis (A) has the form of a regular polygon, preferably a hexagon.

10. The lighting device (10, 20) according to claim 1,

characterized in that the reflector (14, 24) is composed of planar facets (15, 25).

11. The lighting device (10, 20) according to claim 1,

characterized in that the facets (15, 25) are arranged in belts (j) around the axis (A) of the reflector (14, 24).

12. The lighting device (10, 20) according to claim 1,

characterized in that the height (h_j) of the belts (j) increases from the narrow end to the wide end of the reflector (14, 24).

13. The lighting device (10, 20) according to claim 1,

characterized in that the angle (α

_j) between the facets (15, 25) and the axis (A) of the reflector (14, 24) ranges between 10° and

60°

.

14. The lighting device (10, 20) according to claim 1,

characterized in that the angle (α

_j) between the facets (15, 25) and the axis (A) of the reflector (14, 24) decreases from the narrow end to the wide end of the reflector.

15. The lighting device (10, 20) according to claim 1,

characterized in that the light emitter (1, 2, 3) is embedded in an encapsulating material (12, 22).

16. The lighting device (10, 20) according to claim 1,

characterized in that it comprises a controller for selectively controlling the different colors of the light emitter (1, 2, 3).
