1. A method for wirelessly accessing a network, the method comprising:
- receiving, at a wireless access point, a network access request from a computing device wirelessly connected to the wireless access point, the wireless access point connected to the network via a service provider;
determining whether the computing device includes an advertising interface;
transmitting the advertising interface to the computing device only if it is determined that the computing device does not include the advertising interface;
retrieving advertising information from an advertising source, the advertising information renderable by the advertising interface;
transmitting the advertising information to the computing device; and
connecting the computing device to the network.
