Abstract

A tool for classifying documents to allow a multi-dimensional graphical representation is disclosed, the tool comprises a plurality of characterization attributes associable with a plurality of documents to enable classification of the documents, at least some of the plurality of characterization attributes adapted to enable a first group of documents, each document from the first group of documents having at least one characterization attribute in common; at least some of the plurality of characterization attributes adapted to enable a second group of documents, each document from the second group of documents having at least one characterization attribute in common; and an interface adapted to enable the formation of a first document vector displaying at least some of the documents from the first group of documents and the formation of a second document vector displaying at least some of the documents from the second group of documents, and adapted to enable navigation along each document vectors.

Claims

1. A tool for classifying documents to allow a multi-dimensional graphical representation comprising:

a plurality of characterization attributes associable with a plurality of documents to enable classification of the documents,

at least some of the plurality of characterization attributes adapted to enable a first group of documents, each document from the first group of documents having at least one characterization attribute in common;

at least some of the plurality of characterization attributes adapted to enable a second group of documents, each document from the second group of documents having at least one characterization attribute in common; and

an interface adapted to enable the formation of a first document vector displaying at least some of the documents from the first group of documents and the formation of a second document vector displaying at least some of the documents from the second group of documents, and adapted to enable navigation along each document vectors.

2. The tool of claim 1, wherein the interface is adapted to enable a selection of at least one characterization attribute associated with a document.

3. A tool enabling a method for mapping documents comprising:

associating distinctive visual features with characterization attributes;

associating characterization attributes with a documents; and

enabling a plurality of document vectors based, at least in part, on a selected characterization attribute.
