storing energy in a storage device coupled to the reservoir;
applying the energy to the reservoir to transfer an amount of medication through an input valve to fill a metering reservoir having a predetermined volume, to transfer the predetermined volume of medication through an output valve and to transfer the predetermined volume of medication to a patient.
