- distributing a marketing item having an image component to a first electronic device wherein, as distributed, an initial portion of the image component that is less than the entire image component is displayable by the first electronic device; and
tracking a passing of the marketing item from the first electronic device to a second electronic device and providing credit to the first electronic for the passing, the credit permitting the first electronic device to display a portion of the image component that is larger than the initial portion of the image component.
