1. A method of making a tissue product comprising:
- applying a first bonding material to a first side of an uncreped tissue web according to a first preselected pattern, wherein the uncreped tissue web comprises pulp fibers;
creping the first side of the tissue web after application of the first bonding material; and
applying a second bonding material to a second side of the tissue web according to a second preselected pattern, wherein the second bonding material is applied to a greater amount of surface area than the first bonding material covers on the first side of the tissue web, and further wherein the first bonding material applied to the first side of the tissue web has greater penetration into the web than the second bonding material applied to the second side of the tissue web.

Abstract
The present invention is generally directed to paper products having great softness and strength and methods of making the paper products. The paper products are formed from one or more paper webs that can be made according to various methods. In one embodiment, the paper web is an uncreped through-air dried web. According to the present invention, at least one side of the paper web is treated with a bonding material according to a preselected pattern and creped from a creping surface. Through the process, a two-sided tissue web is formed having a smooth side and a textured side.
