20. A method of communicating location data of a mobile station in a wireless network, the method comprising:
-
starting a GPS engine in anticipation of receiving a future RRLP Measure Position Request message and base on a triggering event; receiving a first of a segmented set of RRLP Assistance Data messages, wherein the first of the segmented set of RRLP Assistance Data messages comprises reference information including a satellite time and a coarse MS location, and further including satellite vehicle position information for a first optimal satellite and a second optimal satellite; receiving an RR message; and in response to the RR message, aborting a session while continuing position determination. receiving an RRLP Measure Position Request message while continuing position determination, wherein the RRLP Measure Position Request message comprises a network response time (NW Response Time) value and a network accuracy (NW Accuracy) value; replacing the network accuracy with a different network accuracy value; and shutting down the GPS engine based on sending a RRLP Measure Position Response message; wherein the triggering event comprises one of; detecting an emergency services (ES) call; receiving an RRLP Assistance Data message; and receiving a value added service (VAS) message.
