Abstract

A resin composition comprises a polyphenylene sulfide resin and a nylon resin having a χ-parameter of less than 1.3 at 25° C., and has one glass transition temperature, and an image-forming apparatus comprises

a latent-image supporting member, and

an intermediate transfer member that supports a toner image transferred thereon from the latent-image supporting member, transfers the supported toner image onto an image receiving material,

the intermediate transfer member comprising a polyphenylene sulfide resin and a nylon resin having a χ-parameter of less than 1.3 at 25° C., and has one glass transition temperature

Claims

1. A resin composition, comprising a polyphenylene sulfide resin and a nylon resin having a χ

-parameter of less than 1.3 at 25°

C., and having one glass transition temperature.

2. The resin composition according to claim 1, wherein the glass transition temperature is 88°

C. or less.

3. The resin composition according to claim 1, which is manufactured through processes in which a mixture containing a polyphenylene sulfide resin, a nylon resin and carbon is melt-kneaded so that the kneaded matter is quickly cooled.

4. The resin composition according to claim 1, wherein the nylon resin has a χ

-parameter in a range from 0.01 to less than 1.3 at 25°

C.

5. The resin composition according to claim 1, wherein a compounding ratio of the polyphenylene sulfide resin and the nylon resin is set to 60 to 99% by weight of the polyphenylene sulfide resin to 40 to 1% by weight of the nylon resin.

6. The resin composition according to claim 1, wherein the glass transition temperature is in a range from 80 to 88°

C.

7. A molded component, formed of a resin composition comprising a polyphenylene sulfide resin and a nylon resin having a χ

-parameter of less than 1.3 at 25°

C., and having one glass transition temperature.

8. The molded component according to claim 7, wherein the glass transition temperature is 88°

C. or less.

9. The molded component according to claim 7, wherein the nylon resin has a χ

-parameter in a range from 0.01 to less than 1.3 at 25°

C.

10. The molded component according to claim 7, wherein a compounding ratio of the polyphenylene sulfide resin and the nylon resin is set to 60 to 99% by weight of the polyphenylene sulfide resin to 40 to 1% by weight of the nylon resin.

11. An electrophotographic transfer belt, formed of a resin composition comprising a polyphenylene sulfide resin and a nylon resin having a χ

-parameter of less than 1.3 at 25°

C., and having one glass transition temperature.

12. The electrophotographic transfer belt according to claim 11, wherein the glass transition temperature is 88°

C. or less.

13. The electrophotographic transfer belt according to claim 11, wherein the nylon resin has a χ

-parameter in a range from 0.01 to less than 1.3 at 25°

C.

14. The electrophotographic transfer belt according to claim 11, wherein a compounding ratio of the polyphenylene sulfide resin and the nylon resin is set to 60 to 99% by weight of the polyphenylene sulfide resin resin to 40 to 1% by weight of the nylon resin.

15. An image-forming apparatus comprising:

a latent-image supporting member, and

an intermediate transfer member that supports a toner image transferred thereon from the latent-image supporting member, transfers the supported toner image onto an image receiving material, wherein the intermediate transfer member comprises a polyphenylene sulfide resin and a nylon resin having a χ

-parameter of less than 1.3 at 25°

C., and has one glass transition temperature.

16. The image-forming apparatus according to claim 15, wherein the glass transition temperature is 88°

C. or less.

17. The image-forming apparatus according to claim 15, wherein the nylon resin has a χ

-parameter in a range from 0.01 to less than 1.3 at 25°

C.

18. The image-forming apparatus according to claim 15, wherein the compounding ratio of the polyphenylene sulfide resin and the nylon resin is set to 60 to 99% by weight of the polyphenylene sulfide resin to 40 to 1% by weight of the nylon resin.
