1. An apparatus including a rechargeable power in a glucose monitoring system comprising:
- a sensor configured to detect one or more glucose level of a patient;
a transmitter unit configured to receive the one or more detected glucose levels, and to transmit one or more data corresponding to the detected one or more glucose levels; and
a receiver unit configured to receive the transmitted one or more measured glucose data;
wherein the transmitter unit includes a rechargeable battery,wherein the sensor includes a plurality of sensor contacts, each of the plurality of sensor contacts coupled to the transmitter unit, and furtherwherein a pair of the plurality of sensor contacts coupled to the transmitter unit is configured to receive a predetermined power signal to charge the rechargeable battery of the transmitter unit.
