1. A method, comprising:
- receiving one or more assets associated with advertising in at least one printed publication;
presenting a plurality of selectable templates for generating advertisements (“
ads”
), wherein each selectable template defines at least an arrangement of user assets in an advertisement;
receiving a selection of at least one template of the plurality of selectable ad templates;
providing a graphical user interface for modifying the at least one template of the plurality of selectable ad templates;
displaying the modified at least one template in the graphical user interface for at least one of approval or further modification; and
automatically generating one or more ads compatible with ad slots in the at least one publication based, at least in part, on the received assets and the at least one selected template.

The present disclosure is directed to a system and method for generating ads using user assets. In some implementations, a method includes receiving one or more assets associated with advertising in at least one printed publication. One or more ads compatible with ad slots in the at least one publication are automatically generated based, at least in part, on the received assets.

selecting at least one print publication, identifying one or more templates defining attributes of an advertisement compatible with print media and with the at least one print publication; automatically populating the at least one selected template based, at least in part, on the one or more assets to generate one or more ads for the at least one printed publication; and
,providing a graphical user interface for modifying the at least one selected template based, at least in part, on one or more assets; and
,automatically generating a display of the modified at least one template in the graphical user interface; and
