Abstract

The present invention discloses a television that includes: a power circuit; a tuner for receiving television broadcasting signals; a display for displaying an image according to image signals based on the television broadcasting signals; a speaker for outputting a sound according to audio signals based on the television broadcasting signals; a connecting terminal for connecting to a player device that is capable of playing a media file; a connection detecting unit for detecting that the player device is connected to the connecting terminal; a charging unit for charging a battery of the player device in case the player device is connected to the connecting terminal; and a charge preventing unit for preventing the charging unit from charging the battery according to a user'"'"'s operation.

Claims

1. A television, comprising:

a power circuit;

a tuner for receiving television broadcasting signals;

a display for displaying an image according to image signals based on the television broadcasting signals;

a speaker for outputting audio according to audio signals based on the television broadcasting signals;

a connecting terminal for connecting the television and a player device that is capable of playing a media file;

a connection detecting unit for detecting that the player device is connected to the connecting terminal of the televsion;

a charging unit for charging a battery of the player device in case the player device is connected to the connecting terminal of the television; and

a charge preventing unit for preventing the charging unit from charging the battery according to a user'"'"'s operation.

2. A television as set forth in claim 1, wherein:

the charge preventing unit prevents the charging unit from charging the battery in case the charge preventing unit accepts the user'"'"'s operation to prohibit to charge.

3. A television as set forth in claim 1, wherein:

the charge preventing unit measures a amount of charge of the battery and prevents the charging unit from charging the battery in case the amount of charge is greater than a upper limit.

4. A television as set forth in claim 1, wherein:

the charge preventing unit measures a amount of charge of the battery and prevents the charging unit from charging the battery in case the amount of charge is greater than a upper limit or smaller than an lower limit.

5. A television as set forth in claim 1, further comprising:

a mechanical switch for accepting the user'"'"'s operation formed on a chassis of the television.

6. A television as set forth in claim 1, further comprising:

the display displays a UI image for accepting the user'"'"'s operation.

7. A television, comprising:

a power circuit;

a tuner for receiving television broadcasting signals;

a display for displaying an image according to image signals based on the television broadcasting signals;

a speaker for outputting audio according to audio signals based on the television broadcasting signals;

a connecting terminal for connecting the television and a player device that is capable of playing a media file;

a connection detecting unit for detecting that the player device is connected to the connecting terminal for the television;

a charging unit for charging a battery of the player device in case the player device is connected to the connecting terminal;

a mechanical switch for accepting a user'"'"'s operation formed on a chassis of the television; and

a charge preventing unit that measures an amount of charge of the battery and prevents the charging unit from charging the battery in case the amount of charge is smaller than an upper limit, the amount of charge is greater than an lower limit and the user'"'"'s operation to prohibit to charge is not accepted by the mechanical switch.
