Abstract

A visualization system that generates visualization(s) in an industrial automation environment is provided. An interface component receives input concerning displayed objects and information. A context component can detect, infer or determine context information regarding an entity. A reference component infers or determines relevance of respective display objects as a function of the context information. A visualization component dynamically generates a visualization from a set of display object, and spatially organizes the display objects as a function of the inferred or determined relevance.

Claims

1. A visualization system that generates visualization(s) in an industrial automation environment, comprising:

an interface component that receives input concerning displayed objects and information;

a context component that can detect, infer or determine context information regarding an entity;

a reference component that infers or determines relevance of respective display objects as a function of the context information; and

a visualization component that dynamically generates a visualization from a set of display object, and spatially organizes the display objects as a function of the inferred or determined relevance.

2. The system of claim 1, the visualization component increases in size a display object relative to other display objects as a function of the inferred or determined relevance.

3. The system of claim 1, the visualization component distance-wise orients from a user a display object relative to other display objects as a function of the inferred or determined relevance.

4. The system of claim 3, the visualization displays a display objected deemed most relevant closer to the user within display space.

5. The system of claim 1, the visualization component increases resolution of a display object relative to other display objects as a function of the inferred or determined relevance.

6. The system of claim 1, the visualization component dynamically rearranges display of respective display objects as a function of change in respective relevance.

7. The system of claim 1, the visualization component arranging display objects as a function of user goals.

8. The system of claim 1, the visualization component transitioning arrangement of display objects to assist a user with achieving a goal.

10. The method of claim 1, comprising increasing in size a display object relative to other display objects as a function of the inferred or determined relevance.

11. The method of claim 1, comprising distance-wise orienting from a user a display object relative to other display objects as a function of the inferred or determined relevance.

12. The method of claim 1, comprising displaying a display objected deemed most relevant closer to the user within display space.

13. The method of claim 1, comprising increasing resolution of a display object relative to other display objects as a function of the inferred or determined relevance.

14. The method of claim 1, comprising dynamically rearranging display of respective display objects as a function of change in respective relevance.

15. The method of claim 1, comprising arranging display objects as a function of user goals.

16. The method of claim 1, comprising transitioning arrangement of display objects to assist a user with achieving a goal.

18. The system of claim 1, comprising means for increasing in size a display object relative to other display objects as a function of the inferred or determined relevance.

19. The system of claim 1, comprising means for distance-wise orienting from a user a display object relative to other display objects as a function of the inferred or determined relevance.

20. The system of claim 1, comprising means for displaying a display objected deemed most relevant closer to the user within display space.

9. A method that generates visualization(s) in an industrial automation environment, comprising:

receiving input concerning displayed objects and information;

detecting, inferring or determining context information regarding an entity;

inferring or determining relevance of respective display objects as a function of the context information; and

dynamically generating a visualization from a set of display object, and spatially organizes the display objects as a function of the inferred or determined relevance.

17. A visualization system that generates visualization(s) in an industrial automation environment, comprising:

means for receiving input concerning displayed objects and information;

means for detecting, inferring or determining context information regarding an entity;

means for inferring or determining relevance of respective display objects as a function of the context information; and

means for dynamically generating a visualization from a set of display object, and spatially organizes the display objects as a function of the inferred or determined relevance.
