Abstract

An inductor circuit includes a pair of inductors connected in parallel with each other and a switch for turning on and off electric power to one of the pair of inductors. The inductance of the inductor circuit can be varied and the quality factor Q can be improved. Further, RF circuits employing the inductor circuit can generate an intended operating frequency.

Claims

1. A mobile communication device, comprising:

a first inductor included in the mobile communication device;

a second inductor included in the mobile communication device; and

a metal oxide field effect transistor included in the mobile communication device, for electrically connecting the first inductor and the second inductor when the metal oxide field effect transistor is turned on.

2. The mobile communication device as claimed in claim 1, wherein no current flows through the second inductor when the metal oxide field effect transistor is turned off.

3. A radio-frequency (RF) circuit, comprising:

a first inductor included in the RF circuit;

a second inductor included in the RF circuit; and

a metal oxide field effect transistor included in the RF circuit, for electrically connecting the first inductor and the second inductor when the metal oxide field effect transistor is turned on.

4. The RF circuit as claimed in claim 3, wherein no current flows through the second inductor when the metal oxide field effect transistor is turned off.
