Abstract

A nontraditional transaction device, for example a mobile device, may be employed to complete a transaction. The mobile device may utilize radio frequency (RF) communication and/or authentication to facilitate completion of a transaction. Secondary identification information, for example voice recognition data, biometric recognition data, or alphanumeric data, may be utilized for secondary end user authentication. For security reasons, the mobile device account data may transmitted after the secondary identification information is verified.

Claims

1. A method, comprising:

transmitting, to a radio frequency (RF) reader, authentication data comprising an encrypted authentication code and an RF identification (ID) code;

transmitting, to an RF reader, mobile device account data; and

transmitting, to an RF reader, a mobile device secondary identification comprising at least one of voice recognition data, biometric recognition data or alphanumeric data, wherein the encrypted authentication code is decrypted via a decryption key associated with the RF ID code to verify the authentication data and to process the mobile device account data to complete a mobile device transaction.

2. The method of claim 1, wherein the mobile device account data is transmitted in response to the mobile device secondary identification.

3. The method of claim 1, wherein the mobile device account data is transmitted via a mobile device universal serial bus (USB).

4. The method of claim 1, further comprising receiving a mobile device activation signal.

5. The method of claim 4, wherein transmitting the authentication data is in response to the receiving the mobile device activation signal.

6. The method of claim 1, wherein the RF ID code comprises an RF unique ID code, and wherein the encrypted authentication code is decrypted with a unique decryption key.

7. The method of claim 1, further comprising receiving the secondary device identification at a secondary authentication user interface.

8. The method of claim 7, wherein the secondary authentication user interface comprises a biometric authentication user interface.

9. A method, comprising:

receiving user account data from a transaction application stored on a radio frequency (RF) module;

receiving a secondary authentication identification via a mobile device user interface;

providing the secondary authentication identification to the mobile device microprocessor;

transmitting the secondary authentication identification via an RF transponder; and

processing the user account data to complete a transaction.

10. The method of claim 9, wherein the secondary authentication identification comprises at least one of voice recognition data, biometric recognition data, or alphanumeric data.

11. The method of claim 9, wherein the RF module is configured to comply with International Standards Organization ISO/IEC 14443.

12. A transaction processing system, comprising:

means for receiving authentication data comprising an encrypted authentication code and an RF ID code;

means for reading a decryption key associated with the RF ID code;

means for using the decryption key to decrypt the encrypted authentication code;

means for verifying the authentication data;

means for receiving mobile device account data;

means for receiving a mobile device secondary identification; and

means for processing the mobile device account data to complete a mobile device payment transaction.

13. The transaction processing system of claim 12, wherein the decryption key comprises a unique decryption key.

14. The transaction processing of claim 12, wherein the mobile device secondary identification comprises at least one of voice recognition data, biometric recognition data or alphanumeric data

15. A computer-readable medium having stored thereon a plurality of instructions, the plurality of instructions comprising:

instructions to transmit, to a radio frequency (RF) reader, authentication data comprising an encrypted authentication code and an RF identification (ID) code;

instructions to transmit, to an RF reader, mobile device account data; and

instructions to transmit, to an RF reader, a mobile device secondary identification comprising at least one of voice recognition data, biometric recognition data or alphanumeric data, wherein the encrypted authentication code is decrypted via a decryption key associated with the RF ID code to verify the authentication data and to process the mobile device account data to complete a mobile device transaction.

16. The computer-readable medium of claim 15, further comprising instructions to receive a mobile device activation signal.

17. The computer-readable medium of claim 15, further comprising instructions to receive the secondary device identification at a secondary authentication user interface.

18. A method, comprising:

receiving from a mobile device, in response to transmitting a mobile device activation signal, an authentication transmission, a mobile device secondary identification, and mobile device account data; and

transmitting, to a transaction account issuer, the authentication transmission, the mobile device secondary identification, and the mobile device account data to facilitate completion of a mobile device transaction.

19. The method of claim 18, wherein the mobile device secondary identification comprises at least one of voice recognition data, biometric recognition data or alphanumeric data.

20. The method of claim 18, wherein the mobile device account data is received in response to the mobile device secondary identification.
