Abstract

The invention describes a device as well as a method for eliminating vibrations of a mechanical structure with at least one electromechanical converter material that is actively connected to the mechanical structure and connected to an electric circuit arrangement with at least one electrical impedance. The invention is characterized in that the electric circuit is connected to an interface, via which the at least one electrical impedance can be variably adjusted by means of wireless or wired communication with a control unit that is separated from the electronic circuit arrangement, and in that the electrical impedance features at least one ohmic resistor and/or one inductive resistor and/or one capacitor that are respectively realized variably.

15. A device for eliminating vibrations of a mechanical structure with at least one electromechanical converter material that is actively connected to the mechanical structure and connected to an electrical circuit arrangement with at least one electrical impedance, wherein:

the at least one electrical impedance of the electrical circuit includes at least one variable ohmic resistor and/or one variable inductive resistor and/or one variable capacitor; and

the electrical circuit being connected to an interface, through which the at least one electrical impedance is variably adjusted by one of wireless or wired communications with a control which is separated from the electrical circuit.

16. The device according to claim 15,

wherein the wireless communications between the interface and the control are by radio or infrared transmissions.

17. The device according to claim 15,

wherein the interface is a plug-and-socket into which a connecting line to the control is insertable.

18. The device according to claim 16,

wherein the interface is a plug-and-socket into which a connecting line to the control is insertable.

19. The device according to claim 15, wherein:

the interface is a transmission and reception unit which communicates with a transmission and reception unit association with the control.

20. The device according to claim 16, wherein:

the interface is a transmission and reception unit which communicates with a transmission and reception unit association with the control.

21. The device according to claim 15,

wherein the electromechanical converter material comprises at least one of a piezoceramic, an electrostrictive ceramic or a magnetostrictive alloy.

22. The device according to claim 15,

wherein the electromechanical converter material comprises a fiber, a wire, a patch or foil or a stack of converter material, or as composites of converter materials.

23. The device according to claim 15,

wherein the electromechanical converter material is applied to the mechanical structure or integrated into the mechanical structure.

24. A method of use of the device according to claim 15 comprising using the device to develop the mechanical structures.

25. The method according to claim 24,

wherein the development utilizes optimized vibration specifications.

26. The method of use of the device according to claim 15 comprising at least one of maintaining the mechanical structure, checking vibration behavior thereof and implementing corrective measures.

27. A method for eliminating vibrations of a mechanical structure with at least one electromechanical converter material that is actively connected to the mechanical structure with stiffness behavior, mass inertia behavior and/or damping behavior thereof being adjusted comprising removing electrical energy generated by deformation of the electromechanical converter material in a controlled fashion, with an electrical circuit containing at least one electrical impedance adjusted by remote control, with a value of at least one ohmic resistor provided in the electrical circuit being varied and/or a value of at least one inductive resistor provided in the electrical circuit being varied and/or a value of at least one capacitor provided in the electrical circuit being variable.

28. The method according to claim 27,

wherein the remote control is by wired or wireless communications.

29. The method according to claim 27,

wherein the wireless communications is by radio or infrared transmissions.

30. The method according to claim 28,

wherein the radio transmission use the Bluetooth protocol or a wireless local area network to provide radio transmissions of the wireless communications.
