1. An orthopaedic instrument assembly, comprising:

  • a femoral cutting block having (i) a negative contour surface that is configured to receive a portion of a distal femur of a patient, (ii) a cutting guide, and (iii) a pair of trial condylar surfaces formed in the distal end of the femoral cutting block, anda tibial cutting block having (i) a negative contour surface that is configured to receive a portion of a proximal tibia of the patient, (ii) a cutting guide, and (iii) a pair of trial articular surfaces formed in the proximal end of the tibial cutting block, the pair of trial articular surfaces being configured to receive the pair of trial condylar surfaces formed in the distal end of the femoral cutting block.
