Abstract

The invention provides a user interface including an input to transmit a request from a client computer system at a server computer system, a view transmitted from the server computer system to the client computer system in response to the request, the view being displayed at the client computer system, wherein the view may include a map with boundary of an area displayed on the map.

Claims

1. A user interface, comprising:

an input to transmit a request from a client computer system at a server computer system; and

a view transmitted from the server computer system to the client computer system in response to the request, the view being displayed at the client computer system, wherein the view includes a map with boundary of an area displayed on the map.

2. The user interface of claim 1, wherein the boundary is shown as a line with a thickness.

3. The user interface of claim 1, wherein the request includes the area.

4. The user interface of claim 3, wherein the area is a ZIP code.

5. The user interface of claim 4, wherein the view is a second view, further comprising:

transmitting a first view from the client computer system to the client computer system, the first view including a search box for entering the request at the client computer system.

6. The user interface of claim 3, wherein the area is a named neighborhood.

7. The user interface of claim 6, wherein the view is a second view, further comprising:

transmitting a first view from the client computer system to the client computer system, the first view including a search box for entering the request at the client computer system.

8. The user interface of claim 6, wherein the view is a second view, further comprising:

transmitting a first view from the client computer system to the client computer system, the first view including a name of the neighborhood, the name of the neighborhood being selectable at the client computer system.

9. The user interface of claim 3, further comprising:

utilizing the search request to extract at least one search result from a search data source at the server computer system, wherein the view includes the search result.

10. The user interface of claim 4, wherein the search result includes information relating to a geographic location.

11. The user interface of claim 5, wherein the view is a second view, further comprising:

transmitting a first view from the client computer system to the client computer system, the first view including a search box for entering the search request at the client computer system.

12. The user interface of claim 10, wherein the information relating to the geographic location includes an address.

13. The user interface of claim 10, wherein the geographic location is shown on the map.

14. A method of interfacing with a client computer system, comprising:

receiving a request from a client computer system at a server computer system; and

in response to the request, transmitting a view from the server computer system to the client computer system for display at the client computer system, wherein the view includes a map with boundary of an area displayed on the map.

15. The method of claim 14, wherein the boundary is shown as a line with a thickness.

16. The method of claim 14, wherein the request includes the area.

17. The method of claim 16, wherein the area is a ZIP code.

18. The method of claim 17, wherein the view is a second view, further comprising:

transmitting a first view from the client computer system to the client computer system, the first view including a search box for entering the request at the client computer system.

19. The method of claim 16, wherein the area is a named neighborhood.

20. The method of claim 19, wherein the view is a second view, further comprising:

transmitting a first view from the client computer system to the client computer system, the first view including a search box for entering the request at the client computer system.

21. The method of claim 19, wherein the view is a second view, further comprising:

transmitting a first view from the client computer system to the client computer system, the first view including a name of the neighborhood, the name of the neighborhood being selectable at the client computer system.

22. The method of claim 16, further comprising:

utilizing the search request to extract at least one search result from a search data source at the server computer system, wherein the view includes the search result.

23. The method of claim 17, wherein the search result includes information relating to a geographic location.

24. The method of claim 18, wherein the view is a second view, further comprising:

transmitting a first view from the client computer system to the client computer system, the first view including a search box for entering the search request at the client computer system.

25. A computer-readable medium having stored thereon a set of instructions which, when executed by at least one processor of at least one computer, executes a method comprising:

receiving a request from a client computer system at a server computer system; and

in response to the request, transmitting a view from the server computer system to the client computer system for display at the client computer system, wherein the view includes a map with boundary of an area displayed on the map.
