Abstract

The fundamental breakthrough in green technology is the planar EMI-Free Planar Inductor. The EMI-Free Planar Inductor is the backbone of the platform of green technology. The platform of green technology contains the Xtaless ClockChip, Inductorless PMU & PA and ESDS-PCB to provide the green technology for green chip design. Especially for the 4^th generation wireless communication, the Inductorless PMU & PA are the most important green technology. The inductorless means there is no on-board inductor or transformer. The inductor and transformer can shrink on the chip or in the chip package. The Xtaless ClockChip adopts the most advanced self-compensation Amplitude controller. The ESDS-PCB has the minimum Via assignment algorithm to make the optimum pin assignment for the platform of green technology. The self-compensation Amplitude controller is so powerful that the Xtaless ClockChip is trimless and/or trimfree Xtaless ClockChip. It is plastic-packageable and IP-able Xtaless ClockChip that it is the only market-ready-product Xtaless ClockChip.

Claims

1. A Green Technology Platform apparatus comprises a reference resonator adapted to provide a 1^st reference signal having a resonant frequency;

an amplifier means coupled to said reference resonator; and

an oscillator controller coupled to the 1^st reference resonator and said amplifier means, said oscillator controller means adapted to control the frequency of said reference resonator by modulating the amplitude of said reference resonator.

2. The Green technology platform according to claim 1 where the amplitude of said reference resonator being correlated to temperature.

3. The Green technology platform according to claim 1 said reference resonator further comprises a magnetic means and capacitor means, said magnetic means having its magnetic field flux being guided by a plurality of soft magnetic material loops.

4. The Green technology platform according to claim 1 said reference resonator further comprises a magnetic means and capacitor means, said magnetic means having its center magnetic field flux being guided by a plurality of soft magnetic material layers.

8. The Green Technology Platform apparatus according to claim 1 comprises said resonator accommodating to generate a plurality of clock signals having a resonant frequency;

and said oscillator controller means to control said resonator said oscillator controller means further comprising a plurality of electronic heater means to control the temperature of said resonator during calibration or testing processes.

9. The Green Technology Platform apparatus according to claim 1 said oscillator controller further comprising amplitude control means and common mode control means, said amplitude control means controlling said amplifier to control said amplitude of said reference resonator;

said common mode control means controlling said amplifier to control common mode of said reference resonator.

10. The Green Technology Platform apparatus according to claim 1 further comprises a coefficient means adapted to store a plurality of calibration coefficients;

the amplitude controller adapted, in response to said a plurality of calibration coefficients, to select a plurality of resonant amplitude and the resonant frequency.

11. The Green Technology apparatus of claim 1, further comprising:

a frequency divider coupled to the reference resonator, the frequency divider adapted to divide the first reference signal having the first frequency into a plurality of second signals having a corresponding plurality of frequencies, the plurality of frequencies substantially equal to or lower than 1^st reference frequency.

12. The Green Technology apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a Phase Lock Loop PLL means coupled to the reference resonator, the PLL means adapted to generate a 2^nd signals having a corresponding plurality of frequencies or sampling data means.

The Green Technology apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a frequency calibration system, the system coupling to 3^rd reference oscillator to receive a 3^rd reference signal having a 3^rdreference frequency, the system comprising a coefficient register, the 1^st oscillator adapted to provide an oscillation signal having an oscillation frequency;

a frequency divider coupled to the 1^st oscillator, the frequency divider adapted to provide an output signal having an output frequency which is a rational fraction of the 1^st oscillation frequency;

a comparator coupled to the frequency divider, the comparator adapted to compare the output frequency to the reference frequency and to provide a comparison signal when the output frequency is not substantially equal to the reference frequency;

an amplitude modulator coupled to the comparator and to the oscillator, the amplitude modulator adapted to determine and provide to the coefficient register a first plurality of coefficients to control switching of a first subset of the plurality of switchable amplitude modules to increase the amplitude of the oscillator when the comparison signal indicates the output frequency is greater than the reference frequency, and to determine and provide to the coefficient register a second plurality of coefficients to control switching of a second subset of the plurality of switchable reactance modules to decrease the amplitude of the oscillator when the comparison signal indicates the output frequency is less than the reference frequency.

14. The Green Technology apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a start-up apparatus for a free-running harmonic oscillator, the apparatus comprising:

a first current source adapted to provide a first current;

a second power source adapted to amplitude controller to provide a second power source, a Vbg_OK signal generated from bandgap reference Vbg_OK controller means to indicate bandgap reference voltage Vbg being ready;

the Vbg_OK controller adapted to switch off the first current from the oscillator in response to the Vbg_OK control signal.

The Green Technology apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a spread spectrum controller adapted to control the 1^st reference oscillator to generate a spread spectrum 1^st reference signal at a plurality of different reference frequencies wherein the spread spectrum parameter is at least one of the following spread spectrum parameters:

a biasing substrate voltage of active device, an effective reactance, a control voltage, an oscillation amplitude, a common mode voltage, or a transconductance.

16. The Green Technology apparatus of claim 1, further comprising a power and clock management, said power and clock management comprising a P&

C clock sensor and P&

C controller, said P&

C clock detecting clock output variance and sending P&

C state transition command to said P&

C controller;

said P&

C controller receiving said P&

C state transition command and sending controlling signal to said amplitude controller to varying power and clock of said 1^st reference resonator.

5. A Green Technology Platform apparatus comprises a resonator accommodating to generate a plurality of clock signals having a resonant frequency;

a gm-amplifier means coupled to said resonator; and

an oscillator controller means coupled to said resonator and said gm-amplifier means, said oscillator controller means adapted to generate a plurality of output means to control a plurality of bulk nodes of said gm-amplifier.

6. The Green technology platform according to claim 5 where said a plurality of output means being correlated with temperature.

7. A Green Technology Platform apparatus comprising an on-chip magnetic means, said on-chip magnetic means having its magnetic field flux being guided by a plurality of soft magnetic material layers, said on-chip magnetic means coupling with a plurality of capacitor means.

The Green Technology Platform apparatus according to claim 7 further comprising a planar magnetic means being made of a plurality of planar electric current loop means and a plurality of magnetic loop means, said a plurality of planar electric loop means constructed on a plurality of internal planar layers;

said a plurality of magnetic loop means constructed by a plurality of outer planar of soft magnetic material connecting the center magnetic field flux generated at centers.

The Green Technology Platform apparatus according to claim 7 further comprising a planar magnetic means, said plurality of planar electric loop means constructed on a integrated circuit planar means, on a printed circuit planar or a flexible printed circuit planar, said constructed on a integrated circuit planar means having option to be covered with magnet such as covering die of chip with magnet.

The Green Technology Platform apparatus according to claim 7 further comprising single-input-multiple output means said single-input-multiple output means being constituted of AC source, transformer means, rectifier means, PFC and SIMO means and socket means, said single-input-multiple output means converting AC power directly to multiple DC power such LCD, smoke plug and USB, etc.

A Green Technology Platform apparatus according to claim 19 further comprises a Electric Static Discharge Switch ESDS planar means, said ESDS planar means comprising a power layer means, a ground layer means and a esd layer means, said esd layer being clamping between said power layer means and ground layer means, as said esd layer means being switch on by electric static charge, said power layer means being conducted with said ground layer means to discharging said electric static charge said Electric Static Discharge Switch ESDS planar means further comprising signal layer means and via means, said via being able to discharge charge from said signal layer means to said power layer means and ground layer means;

said via means being able to be minimized with via assignment of circular linear interval graph and Tang Theorems.
