20. A touch sensor keypad for mounting over a display screen of an electronic device, comprising:
-
at least one elongate input pad formed in a layer of transparent conductive material on a transparent substrate, the input pad tapering from a broad end to a narrow end to provide a respective input pad capacitance for each of a plurality of locations of a touch over the input pad; and
,a contact for coupling the input pad to a processor; wherein the input pad forms a column or row of the keypad; and
,wherein each of the plurality of locations of the touch corresponds to a respective key in the column or row of the keypad; whereby the input pad provides multi-touch functionality for the column or row of the keypad.
