1. An arrow nock system for holding an arrow within a bow to permit a true release, the system comprising:
- an arrow shaft;
an arrow nock positioned on an end of the arrow shaft, the arrow nock having a cavity;
a magnet and two pole pieces positioned within the arrow nock, the magnet positioned between the two pole pieces; and
a ball nock positioned on a bowstring of the bow, the ball nock magnetically engageable with the arrow nock.
