Abstract

A screen image displaying image-data items in list form is displayed over a predetermined time period. Then, the display color of an image-data item of the image-data items, the image-data item corresponding to predetermined classification information, is changed so that the image-data item can be differentiated from other image-data items. Consequently, a user can clearly identify the classification of the image-data items and easily find an image-data item satisfying a condition without performing a complicated operation.

Claims

1. A method for display-control of an apparatus including a display part configured to display image data, an operation part configured to be operated by a user, and a mounting part configured to be mounted to an external storage medium, the method comprising:

an inputting step provided to input first classification information indicating additional information of image data targeted for classification in accordance with an operation of the operation part;

a reading step provided to read the image data and the additional information corresponding to the image data from the external storage medium mounted in the mounting part;

a first determining step provided to determine whether additional information corresponding to the image data read at the reading step is additional information indicated by the first classification information input at the inputting step;

a display-control step provided to display at least two image-data items read at the reading step on the display part in a list form; and

a first changing step provided to change a display color of an image-data item based on a result of the determination made at the first determining step of the at least two image-data items after a first predetermined time elapses since the display is performed at the display-control step.

The method according to claim 1, further comprising a second changing step provided to change the display color of the image data, the display color being changed at the first changing step, to a display color used at the display-control step after a second predetermined time elapses since the display color is changed at the first changing step.

3. The method according to claim 1, further comprising:

a second determining step provided to determine whether the additional information corresponding to the image data read at the reading step is the additional information indicated by second classification information input at the inputting step based on the additional information read at the reading step; and

a third changing step provided to change the display color of the image data after a third predetermined time elapses since the display color is changed at the first changing step,

wherein, at the third changing step, a display color of an image-data item based on a result of the determination made at the second determining step of the at least two image-data items is changed, so as to be different from the display color used at the display-control step.

The method according to claim 1, wherein, at the first changing step, a display color of an image-data item of the at least two image-data items is changed, where additional-information item corresponding to the image-data item is determined, at the first determining step, to be the additional information indicated by the first classification information input at the inputting step.

5. The method according to claim 1, wherein, at the first changing step, the display color is changed by superimposing a predetermined color component on the image-data item displayed at the display-control step.

6. A printer configured to display image data stored in a storage medium, the printer comprising:

a print unit configured to print the image data onto a print sheet;

a display part configured to display the image data;

an operation part configured to be operated by a user;

a mounting part configured to mount an external storage medium;

an inputting unit configured to input classification information indicating additional information of image data targeted for classification in accordance with an operation of the operation part;

a reading unit configured to read the image data and the additional information corresponding to the image data from the external storage medium mounted in the mounting part;

a determining unit configured to determine whether the additional information corresponding to the image data read by the reading unit is additional information indicated by the classification information input by the inputting unit based on the additional information read by the reading unit;

a display-control unit configured to display at least two image-data items read by the reading unit on the display part in a list form; and

a changing unit configured to change a display color of an image-data item based on a result of the determination made by the determining unit of the at least two image-data items after a predetermined time elapses since the display is performed by the display-control unit.

7. An image-pickup apparatus displaying image data stored in a storage medium, the image-pickup apparatus comprising:

an image-pickup unit configured to pick up image data;

a display part configured to display the image data;

an operation part configured to be operated by a user;

a mounting part configured to mount an external storage medium;

an inputting unit configured to input classification information indicating additional information of image data targeted for classification in accordance with an operation of the operation part;

a reading unit configured to read the image data and the additional information corresponding to the image data from the external storage medium mounted in the mounting part;

a determining unit configured to determine whether the additional information corresponding to the image data read by the reading unit is additional information indicated by the classification information input by the inputting unit based on the additional information read by the reading unit;

a display-control unit configured to display at least two image-data items read by the reading unit on the display part in a list form; and

a changing unit provided to change a display color of an image-data item based on a result of the determination made by the determining unit of the at least two image-data items after a predetermined time elapses since the display is performed by the display-control unit.

8. A method for displaying image data stored in a storage medium, the method comprising:

an inputting step provided to input classification information indicating additional information of image data targeted for classification;

a reading step provided to read the image data and the additional information corresponding to the image data from the storage medium;

a determining step provided to determine whether the additional information corresponding to the image data read at the reading step is additional information indicated by the classification information input at the inputting step based on the additional information read at the reading step;

a display-control step provided to display at least two image-data items read at the reading step on a display part in list form; and

a changing step provided to change a display color of an image-data item based on a result of the determination made at the determining step of the at least two image-data items after a predetermined time elapses since the display is performed at the display-control step.

9. A computer-readable recording medium storing a program making a computer execute the method according to claim 8.
