Abstract

The claimed subject matter provides a system and/or a method that facilitates servicing a portion of a trade card via a web service. A web service can provide a portion of data to enhance a trade card, wherein the portion of data is at least one of a portion of trade card document-specific data, an intelligent gadget, or a feed driven component. A build component can leverage the web service to utilize the portion of data with the trade card.

Claims

1. A computer-implemented system that facilitates utilizing a trade card that displays a portion of data on a network, comprising:

a web service that provides a portion of data to enhance a trade card, the portion of data is at least one of a portion of trade card document-specific data, an intelligent gadget, or a feed driven component; and

a build component that leverages the web service to utilize the portion of data with the trade card.

2. The system of claim 1, the trade card includes the portion of data as a distillation of information identified as essential to a topic of such trade card, wherein the portion of data includes at least one of static data or active data.

3. The system of claim 1, the trade card incorporates at least one of a portion of a graphic, a portion of audio, a portion of video, a portion of an image, a portion of text, an applet, a gadget, or a real-time data update.

4. The system of claim 1, the trade card is granular with one or more sections of data, each section includes at least one of a view, a scale, or a resolution, the trade card granularity is determined based upon at least one of a zoom on the trade card or a pan on the trade card.

5. The system of claim 4, the trade card is universally implemented in an environment independent of a format for the environment, the environment is at least one of a desktop computer, a component, a machine, a machine with a windows-based operating system, a media device, a portable media player, a cellular device, a portable digital assistant (PDA), a gaming device, a laptop, a web-browsing device, a gaming console, a portable gaming device, a mobile device, a portion of hardware, a portion of software, a smartphone, a wireless device, or a third-party service.

6. The system of claim 5, at least one section of data related to the trade card is exposed based at least in part upon one of the following:

the environment accessing the trade card;

or a user accessing the trade card.

7. The system of claim 1, the web service is at least one of a tool or a feature that interacts with a portion of the trade card.

8. The system of claim 7, the build component aggregates at least one of the portion of data, the tool, or the feature to utilize with at least one portion of the trade card.

9. The system of claim 1, further comprising an interface that enables at least one of the following:

receipt of a data instruction related to a request for a portion of the web service that provides the portion of data;

or communication of a portion of a web service based at least in part upon the requests.

10. The system of claim 9, the request relates to at least one of a user, a group of users, a company, an enterprise, a business, a machine, a network, a server, a forum, a website, or a device.

11. The system of claim 1, further comprising a cloud that hosts at least one of the web service, the build component, at least one trade card, or an interface, wherein the cloud is at least one resource that is maintained by a party and accessible by an identified user over a network.

12. The system of claim 1, the web service provides authoring for a portion of a trade card with at least one of the following:

a portion of schema to automatically create and populate a portion of the trade card;

or

a clip technique that automatically incorporates a portion of identified data into a portion of the trade card.

13. The system of claim 1, the web service includes at least one of the following in a manner unconstrained by a limit of a target host or environment:

an organization component that provides at least one of categorizing a portion of a trade card, finding a portion of a trade card, listing a portion of a trade card, sorting one or more trade cards, filtering one or more trade cards or pivoting a hierarchical map of one or more trade cards;

or

a control component that manages a portion of a trade card including at least one of trade card publication, privacy setting for the trade card, transmission of the trade card, export setting for the trade card, import setting of the trade card, combination of one or more portions of trade cards, data embedding related to the trade card, archiving of the trade card, manipulation of a portion of a life cycle for the trade card, re-use of a trade card, or syndication of the trade card.

14. The system of claim 1, the web service utilizes a share component that allows a portion of the trade card to be shared to at least one of an environment, a device, a user, a community of networked users, a network, a machine, a platform, a server, or a website.

15. The system of claim 1, the web service includes an input/plug component that is receives a query from a search engine and identifies at least a portion of a trade card that is relevant to such query, the portion of the trade card is identified by an automatic content crawl on a collection of trade cards.

16. The system of claim 1, further comprising a connect component that provisions information between an interface and the web service, the connect component is at least one of a browser application, a device, a portion of hardware, a portion of software, a mobile device, a portable media player, a gaming console, or a data browsing device.

17. A computer-implemented method that facilitates accessing a web service to utilize in connection with a portion of a trade card, comprising:

identifying a portion of a web service to utilize with a trade card; and

implementing the portion of web service to a portion of the trade card.

18. The method of claim 17, further comprising connecting to the web service within a cloud via an interface.

19. The method of claim 17, further comprising:

utilizing an interface to receive a request for a portion of the web service that provides the portion of data;

or utilizing an interface to communicate a portion of the web service based at least in part upon the request.

20. A computer-implemented system that facilitates utilizing a trade card that displays a portion of data on a network, comprising:

means for connecting to a web service;

means for providing a portion of data from the web service to enhance a trade card, the portion of data is at least one of a portion of trade card document-specific data, an intelligent gadget, or a feed driven component; and

means for leveraging the web service to utilize the portion of data with the trade card.
